My wife just bought some shampoo and I have never seen this kind of ingredient. A light google search brought me nowhere except for listing the other similar types of mysterious ingredients listed on other varieties of this shampoo.

The site here: http://killingbeauty.blogspot.ca/2016/02/dangerous-product-garnier-whole-blends.html?view=magazine

I read a site that explained common shampoo chemicals but this wasn't on there, it explained that water is usually the first ingredient.

It's not an ingredient, it's a product code? or maybe a patent code?

Thats what I thought, but its literally listed in the ingredients list. example: https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-psjUJvNpM40/VrpylZi8i0I/AAAAAAAAAVg/zzYbDDf0SZA/s1600/175.png

Ok, looks like a chemical company product code.
BASF do a plantacare chemical mixture labeled PS10, which is a suffactant, so if garnier bought that chemical mixture from BASF and used it they would have to label it without knowing exactly what was in it, trade secrets.
PS10 is labeled as an eye irritant, which most soaps are.
Judgement call I think, it should be safe but may contain nuts :)

If you believe the scare blogs, it's a cancer causing chemical that will kill you. Garnier says it's a hair strengthener.

Thanks, where did you find the Garnier explanation?

From a Google preview of a Garnier newsletter that I couldn't directly access without signing up for it.
