Maybe I just need some sleep.

I found out via freaking Instagram about the possibility of nuclear war with Russia. Not radio or news. Social media.

Nuclear war has always been one of my biggest fears. I am trying to not panic for the sake of my dog, but breathing quietly and evenly is difficult.

And then I remembered reading Revelation when I was younger. It's easy to interpret that as events that are unfolding right now.

The political nonsense, and wars for no reason, and rigged/stolen elections, our presidential candidates are a joke, we are killing each other because we can... We are fucked and I am scared.

What makes you think you should be worried about nuclear war?

I mean, sure it's possible, but it's not a weapon I'd expect to used except as an endgame strategy. And yeah, politics are a mess, but on the flipside, this election has really cast a lot of spotlight on the flaws in our voting systems, so we might finally see people pushing for reforms. It's definitely long overdue.

But yeah, if you're reading things into Revelation ever, then it's time for bed. Unless giant demons and dragons rise from the sea, then yes Revelation has begun. I'd probably still just go to bed at that point. Who needs that shit?

I'd been awake for a few days anyway. I felt better after like fourteen hours of sleep. Nuclear war is a very terrifying threat, but at least I'm breathing normally. :/

That's good. Lack of sleep can definitely make you a little crazy. If it makes you feel better, there were like 5 times that nuclear war was ordered but the soldiers always refused to follow through. That was back in the Cold War era when it really was a very present danger. And we've spent decades talking about what a bad idea it would have been. Modern war is fought economically and by third-party proxy wars, arming other nations and such. Large, developed countries are not very keen on inviting trouble into their homelands. History has shown how that plays out. They'd rather be profiting from war than waging it.
