biota bequeathed flora (will look strange on phones)
pedicle pedicel pluck my petals,
pry me open and find the difference...
To be a florist,
w/o time,
w/o pressure.
Lambda reaches your wits,
a photosynthetic koan:

Oomycete, how you spoil delight in
a shower's blooming bosom;
I will not flourish...
like morning-glory, ↗ Rise
and pitch-tents on coastal dreams!
where suns don't set! w/o the cold
Cadens short span spammed by tone-deaf honkers
I hear you blowing south! as per usual,
desolation is forthcoming.

no lilies w/o japanese bridge, 1883
Take me back to Giverny!
I am no longer blind;
I am the florist, a stonedmonk
trapping chromatics in Thoreau's
ideas of Nature.
To sit bellow the leaves-
w/ time,
w/ pressure
-in their final days of susurrus,
awaiting winters deathly visit.

This is great. The experimental aspects of this are largely working well; the flower/diagram image in the middle is particularly well-conceived. This is very dense piece, and that's a good thing. I don't know a lot about botany, but it's hard to miss the density of botanical references in this.
The only bit that's not working for me is the blank square in the bottom-third of the page; maybe I just don't get it, but I'm not getting any kind of meaning out of it.
This is a great piece; thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the response, i'm glad you enjoyed the poem! Im submitting it to a poetry magazine and I wanted to see its reception, since the formatting is quite unconventional, but I'm happy to hear that you saw my bouquet (flower diagram)!
As for the square at the bottom, underneath it is a refrence/'joke' to Monet's art/history: he moved to Giverny in 1883 and had a man-made pond (where he had his famous lillies) and japanese bridge built. Hence the lackthereof in the poem. Im aware that one of the magazine's editor is an art history major, and Im hoping it will strique a chord with him.
Thanks again, and hopefully my explanation of the square doesnt come off as too prentious!
Edit: I didnt explain, but the square is a blank canvas, and the sentence directly underneath it (no lillies w/o japanese bridge, 1883) is its title!
