Looking for a budget phone with wifi calling and great battery!

Price: < $550

Carrier: Tmobile, USA

Size: Would prefer ~5", but can go as big as 5.5

Used for: Just calling/texting/Redditing.

Other:

  1. Has to have a great battery. I need to be reached during the day at all times without fail (another reason why wifi calling is a must).

  2. I like rooting, but it's not a must.

Initially had Nexus 5 (been hurt with the battery before...) and was waiting for pixel, but it's not worth the money in my opinion. Passing the time on a BLU R1 HD.

I was looking at HTC 10 (while on sale) vs One Plus 3 (some say has wifi calling or is getting it soon). Moto Z play would be great, but again, no wifi calling.

Also, don't mind waiting for black Friday if it'll get me a deal.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If you go with T-Mobile/MetroPCS, it will greatly benefit you to get a phone that is band 12 capable and supports VoLTE on T-Mobile. Here's a list of other phones (see "T-Mobile phones"): http://www.spectrumgateway.com/compatible-phones

I'm on a family plan with T-Mobile, so I'm stuck, that's why I need wifi calling. Thanks for the list

ZTE Zmax Pro from Metropcs. Its a 6 inch phone tho..

That's a bit too big for me. I prefer being able to use a phone with one hand if needed. Thanks though!

You basically are looking at the same phones as me, except I was shelling out more for the HTC 10 for the audio, I was put off the OP3 due to many reports of the customer service beings useless, I am still looking at the Moto Z Play as the specs seem decent and the battery is a Pro, however I can't see myself using the moto mods. I'm pretty much sold on the HTC10 to be honest, it seems like the best all-round phone and isn't too expensive (like the pixel).

Ive been looking at the same phones. Really been wanting the moto z play for battery life but i can find a used htc 10 for even cheaper. The one plus3 is interesting but not a fan of the design and hear about customer service problems too.

Would probably go with moto z play if the talk about the 625 being good is true but i would like a better camera.
