UK laws on handing in notice on a 0 hour contract?

Worked there for around a year, what are the rules on how long I have to give notice before I can leave?

This will depend on the contract itself, but you are:

  1. entitled to refuse work throughout the entirety of the notice period
  2. entitled to be simultaneously employed elsewhere

Yeah I don't remember actually signing anything :/

Well, that doesn't help. Maybe you can just go to HR and ask what the notice period is then? They might lie to you, but it's really your responsibility to keep a copy of your contract so you can verify their claims, unfortunately.

Haha OK... So tell them that you no longer wish to work there with immediate effect, see what they try to hold you to.
