Avoid psngames.org!!

I wanted to put a post out there to avoid http://psngames.org. I recently purchased Forza Horizon 3 on xb1 from them and found out they cycle stolen credit cards and purchase the game for you. They make a new MS Account and a Email account for you to go in, redeem the game and take over the accounts. You can then do some things on your xbox one to get the game to download, install and work.

The game worked for 24 hours before telling me it was refunded. The owner of the credit card psngames is stealing from must of completed a charge back. I was out $35 bucks with no response from psngames.org who is a G2A seller. I waited 14 days, no response only to see my incident and/issue moved up for another 10 days. This is when I went to paypal and opened up a dispute.

I am happy to say I got a refund from paypal but wanted to put the warning out, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!

EDIT: Obviously this community would rather call someone a dumbass than be thankful for a heads up. As I stated in my comments, I had good experience with cdkeys.com who offers the same thing but actually provides you key codes. I just wanted to give a warning out so for those of you who got the "heads up", thanks for reading.

psngames.org

Forza Horizon 3 for XB1

Yeah...screams legit to me

Because psn is in the domain means they have to only sell psn games? Would that make it look more legitimate? I'm genuinely curious.

Are you reading the stuff you're writing right now?

Neoxite23•

PSN stands for PlayStation Network. It's weird you bought an Xbox One game from the PSN when....they don't do that.

No one cares you were scammed because it's obvious that it would be a scam. I'm curious....how old are you?

plexer22OP•

Is it a scam if i got my money back tho?

What's the point of complaining if you got a refund?

murray903•

Don't buy anything from G2A, ever.

mikeyvengeance•

They are okay for old games, but yeah new games you'll get fucked on

-5
YouAreUnoriginal•

Why? I've used them a half dozen times and it was great every time.

-16
martynek•

Dogshit ethics, screwing consumers and developers, outright crime in keyfarming.

Support for G2A is support for all of the above.

12
Leggerrr•

I think you can buy from someone and not entirely support what they do.

0†
martynek•

You can, but you shouldn't, since by buying their product, you're supporting them the best way possible for them - Your money.

1
YouAreUnoriginal•

Outright crime? Yet they still operate.

Moselter•

So do drug dealers a lot of the time. It just means they make more doing their illegal activities than the consequences cost them.

martynek•

The clinton foundation still operates.

Your move.

This article doesn't explain how G2A supposedly obtained a half a million dollars worth of usable keys for this company's games.

1
murray903•

It's not about how G2A makes money it's how unsafe it is and how does it hurt the industry by deniying money to the original developers, read the second article if you want more info.

Loonkey•

It may be a good service often, but that doesn't mean what they do is ethical.

"Avoid buying games from a site that inexplicably sells games for way under any price any reputable retailer sells them for"

Thanks?

Continually blown away by the amount of people who think they've found a "sweet deal" by using sites like this and are genuinely surprised when it doesn't pan out.

Cdkeys.com has always been good to me. I tried a new site and got took. I'm just trying to warn others who might take the chance on them. That is all.

Manneeee•

I mean it's called PSNgames but you were buying FH3?

idk man thanks for putting this warning for people to know but you shouldn't have bought from that website in the first place, just stick to the more known retailers.

7
plexer22OP•

Oh trust me I will.

-1
NAQURATOR•

That's the risk when buying from grey area sites like these.

Also - sometimes devs catch on and make a batch of keys invalid, so for the same price your license got taken away because of that - it doesn't always mean he refunded after selling you the code but whatever, semantics

All in all, when buying on such a site, you know the risk, no need for a warning. It's up to you if the price difference is worth the time - and money-loss you're going trough now.

I mean the site looked good to me cause I've used Cdkeys.com a lot with no issues. I have this one a try and it was only clear to me how shady it was after I got the email instructions on how to get the game. They basically tell you that they are going to send you two user names and passwords. One for the ms account the game was bought on and another for a email in case i was prompted for a security code when adding the xbox ms account to my xb1. I got it added and had to set my xbox as the home console to be able to play the game on my normal GT. This whole process was fuk'ed but i decided to say whatever and give it a shot. I got a hour of game play and came back the next day to have it say it was refunded. The emails i got after the game was refunded for the ms account they created made it obvious that it was fraud.

There was no money lost here, just time and a shitty game seller.

I wonder if there's an instance where you can complain about these guys, their site should be shut down with such practices (not even keys but accounts? come on!). Happy for you you got your money back tho. Hope not too many people fall in their trap

g2a works fine. but i only buy cd keys from them not steam gifts or other products. its cheaper than retail, because of game keys people get from promotional offers, like nvidia does with gtx 1080 purchases. game accounts i wouldn't trust though.

Ho there,

G2A is scummy, that is for sure - but they have nothing to do with this.

The site in question has nothing to do with G2A, the fact that the seller might be active ON G2A does not mean the website is affliated with it, I think this is important to differentiate.

Now, contact G2A, and tell them that they have a seller who is scamming, they might reward you.

"Thank you for bringing this to our attention. As a token of our appreciation, please accept this stolen game."

3
Leggerrr•

An exaggerated view doesn't help the situation. While more often then other distributors, most of the games sold on G2A are not stolen. It doesn't make it any less of a problem, but exaggerating the concept doesn't help anyone.

plexer22OP•

I received an email with a lady's name and contact address of the CC when I took over the Microsoft account the sellers made and the game was refunded. It only made sense that it was a stolen CC cause the email account they gave me was at mail.163.com which is a chinese email service. The lady's name was clearly non foreign and possibly from US. I activated g2a shield when buying the game and opened up a case with the seller. Waited 14 days and no response or solution. I went to check on the 15th day to see the case had been extended another 10 days. That's when I disputed with paypal and got my money back. The way g2a runs their feedback of sellers is nuts. If i have a problem, i have to work with the seller and was informed that if i rated the transaction bad, I could get my claim denied. So i didn't rate bad, waited it out and all to not get a response. Once i got my refund from PayPal, i got a email shortly after from g2a that they auto rated my feedback to the seller as positive. I spoke with g2a on livechat and they said there was nothing they could do.

I've bought 3 games from them and have never had any issues.
