the One

Take one from the middle,  
not the end nor the beginning.  
Pick the fattest fruit fresh from the brush.  

Sink your teeth in sharply,  
smell the sweetened scent of sinning.  
Silence shadowed snakes with haste, a hush.  

Find no grief in pleasure,  
for it's only you you've sinned,  
and no one knows or minds what you have done.  
But should the others tell you  
"you've disgraced yourself,  
and Him,"  
Remember that He's not the only One.
