"granddad would still had a blast" should be "still have a blast". Unless its another (i think it is) purposeful misspelling like "dour".

I love it, honestly. Write what makes you happy to write.

It made me really uncomfortable to read. The cadence is awkward, and lines are too short and punchy, and it's tough to even extract meaning from some of the lines.

I see a hint of something sweet with the reference to your grandparent's relationship, and something achy with the line from your mom. But they're mostly obscured by just being uncomfortable.
