Someone recently attempted to openly bribe mods to ban me for $700. I'll delete my account for $500
In the true spirit of capitalism, I'd like to publicly offer to undercut this silly offer the bribe mods so that I can profit.
I guess we'll see how serious socialists are about their attempts to uphold their deals and participate in the market or if it's just the usual empty virtue signaling hoping that their fellow-socialists will remain dishonest enough to support any blatant lie as long as it's showing meaningless rhetorical support for your cult.

Then the mods can undercut you, and then you undercut them, and etc, so you get banned for almost free, and the profit would be small.
That is what Marx predicted to Capitalism: a run to the bottom which would implode in itself.
A race to the bottom where the consumer reaps the rewards!
It's not like the consumer is racing to the bottom of wages as well!
What does it matter when everything is cheap as shit?
Goods and services most definitely get cheaper faster than wages go down, which doesn't even actually happen.
That is the history of Capitalism, in a nutshell. :)
Well, unless you throw in inflation...
Or our education system. Or healthcare, or prison, or food industry, or infrastructure, or

Untrue, it would reach some non-zero equilibrium price lower than which the mods won't be willing to kick up a shitstorm over.
Also, if there is no such a price and it does tend to zero, all you've proven is that setting up a new reddit account does in fact take a few seconds :P
But if we dont ban LowReady he will starve.
Lol
Of course, that was a parody of Marx's (the other one, Karl) economics; of course it would fail to predict outcomes, Marxian economics always do that and therefore it is useless.
Obviously the mods won't do it for $700. OP could actually bid higher. The market provided a price, and it was too low. This would be a race to the top.
$500 was a low ball bid.
This would also create a market for being annoying enough that people want you banned, though.
Being annoying is it's own reward.
This is a very stupid comment if you meant it seriously. If we consider the producers of account deletion to be LowReady and each mod, and we assume they won't collude, then we can model the market for account deletion as perfectly competitive-- there is no free exit/entry but oligopoly makes less sense here since there is only 1 unit of account deletion. So in such a market P=MR=MC, meaning equilibrium price would be equal to the cost of production. The cost of production is unknown here. LowReady's cost of production is n, the value he places on his account. Each mod's cost of production is c1, c2...cn, the value each mod places on the integrity of the subreddit. So the equilibrium price will be whichever is the smallest of n, c1, c2,..., cn. But this is only because there is one unit of this good in existence and there is not a large cost of production.
Of course I didn't mean it seriously, it was just a joke about the interpretation of an economical point of view.
