25 MORE Facts You May Not Have Known about the Binding of Isaac Afterbirth

##Hello everybody and welcome back to another Binding of Isaac AFTERBIRTH Facts Post!

I made one of these a while back and have now gotten around to making another. If you're looking at this and going "ew that's a really long wall of text," I recommend you click here, as it is a link to a video I made explaining all of these, some in more detail. I figured I'd make a new facts post and video before Afterbirth+ comes out since we will likely have a bunch more facts to talk about with the update. A lot of you that are Isaac Veterans will probably know a fair number of these but hopefully you learn something new that you can put to good use in the game!

1.

There are actually two ways to get both the Polaroid and the Negative in a single run. You can start with one as Eden and pick up the other, or if there’s a 5 dice room on the first Mom floor, you can pick up one of each.

2.

You can actually get small rock twice on a single run. If your run is rerolled, it gets put back into the tinted rock pool and can be pulled again.

3.

Be careful with Chaos Card if you have multidimensional baby; if you throw it into him, he’ll turn it into a normal tear.

4.

Chaos card can also destroy things that normally are not considered enemies such as moving spike blocks.

5.

Using Flush on poop related bosses, such as Dingle and Brownie, will destroy them immediately and they will appear as if they are flushing down a toilet.

6.

The D7 can provide infinite items after a secret room Greed fight. As long as you have battery charges, have fun breaking the game.

7.

The extra charge you get from the Battery is not necessarily item specific. This means that, theoretically, you can get a faster charge on an item with a longer charge by using an item with a smaller charge. Still not making sense? For example, you pick up Shoop Da Whoop, but Satanic Bible is sitting in a library next door. Whenever Shoop Da Whoop gets its extra charge, you can switch to Satanic Bible and use the charge on that. This makes Satanic Bible a 2 room charge. Pretty neat.

8.

Using hematemesis in a black heart or eternal heart super secret room will drop black hearts or eternal hearts.

9.

It is actually possible to get items from buttons. Next time you choose to ignore the buttons in a secret room, just know in the back of your head I got Mom’s Knife from one.

10.

Black Candle removes the teleportation from Cursed Eye but does not remove Curse of the Tower.

11.

With enough range up pills, you technically get spectral tears because each range up is a slight tear height up. With enough range up pills, your tear height gets so large that they can pass over rocks.

12.

Keeper can heal from Yum Heart and Placenta even though it uses hearts and not coins.

13.

Speaking of keeper, Sharp Plug only does 1 coin of damage to the Keeper, allowing him to make use out of the item.

14.

Glowing Hourglass + Eden’s Blessing can give you every single passive item on the next run if you’re patient. Simply pick up Eden’s Blessing then turn back time and continue to pick it up multiple times. As neoman stated in the comments, this does require infinite batteries as well since the charge on glowing hourglass gets used up.

15.

The Devil and Angel Statues in deals with the Devil and Angel respectively have a rock underneath them. This means that it is technically possible to get a tinted rock to spawn in these rooms. (And in my head I’m now thinking that if the tinted rock contained small rock or a golden chest with an item, that item could then be rerolled into a devil item or angel item for free)

16.

Gimpy acts incredibly weird with certain enemies in the game. Killing Chub or Envy incredibly fast can end up expelling many red hearts from the fight.

17.

If you open the Mega Satan door with the key pieces then Forget Me Now on the Chest, the Mega Satan door will not open again because the keys are used up.

18.

Champion enemies that are smaller or larger will likely drop a One Makes You Small or One Makes You Large pill respectively.

19.

When fighting Ultra Pride, the small Baby is named Florian, the coder of the original flash game and the larger green guy is Edmund. If you defeat Edmund first, and then Florian, it will not drop the Left Hand but rather have a 25% chance to drop an item.

20.

Sometimes the secret room generation becomes a little weird. For example, in the seed JPQY 83KC, the secret room on the first floor spawns behind the cursed room!

21.

Bumbo will not pick up any coins that give a luck upgrade. This is due to the fact that lucky coins are actually their own entity. Thus if you Jera a lucky coin, all of the other coins Jera’d will also be lucky. This also kinda works with Humbling Bundle / Contract from Below. Since lucky coins cannot be put together like the duo coin, they will appear as single pennies, thus you will know they are lucky.

22.

Red Candle and Blue Candle can destroy shopkeepers in shops.

23.

Pyromaniac protects you from the shots red fires shoot at you, but I wouldn’t recommend walking straight into fire.

24.

When item chests are duplicated, like on the chest, the item inside the duplicated chest becomes the next item in the itemID list from the original item. For example, if you duplicate a chest that has Sad Bombs in it (ID #220), the duplicated chest will be Sad Onion (#221). In this case, no one is sad but them.

25.

Finally, God’s flesh can shrink down Peep’s and, yes, even the Bloat’s eyes, allowing you to crush them and make those fights much easier.
