She doesn't necessarily need to be trained in boxing to an elite level, she just needs to stick to her strengths and move that damn head!
How long would it take for her to be trained in boxing to an elite level?
Never going to happen. Boxing (or any discipline) doesn't work that way. She doesn't need to learn to box at an elite level. She needs to learn that she can't box. She needs to learn that she will win via judo and/or armbar or she will lose. Those are the options. And she needs to plan accordingly. That's it.
Some head moment and basic fundamentals would help her get into to the positions she needs to apply her true strengths though.
Years for it to be high level, but even one year at tristar would improve her striking and general fight iq more than she has in glendale for the last couple of years
Depends on how hard she works and how easy it is for her to learn. But given the fact that she probably can't throw kicks too well I would guess it would take a long time, time she doesn't have at this stage of her career. If she is serious about getting the title back then she needs to take the Maia approach, only focus on getting it to the ground. The only thing that make's Ronda stand out from the rest are her throws and submissions (read armbar). You gotta play to your own strengths in this game, K-1 [Insert overzealous grappler] is always a bad thing.
Let it go.
It's over for Ronda. She embarrassed herself in front of millions last night. It's time for her to retire now.
she can develop her striking, but she will never become a high level striker
DC became a good striker and he didn't train any striking till he was passed his 30's. The problem is whether or not Ronda has a lot of bad habits.
