[Open] Time To Report

Evictus Offices

Jarrod had just come aboard the ISD Evictus. It was a new posting, but not the first Star Destroyer he had been assigned to. The system was a hot bed of activity and NCOs were apparently in short supply. The non-comm either drew the short straw or someone saw him worthy of transferring him to the Evictus.

Regardless, Jarrod would do his duty and obey his orders as they were given to him. A commendable aspect for one such as himself.

For most newcomers, the corridors and halls of an Imperial Star Destroyer were a confusing labyrinth of plasteel and terminals, however, this wasn't the man's first time.

However, for everyone, they must report in to their assigned commanding officer.

Lieutenant Colonel Lex Tiranis, Jarrod reminded himself as he ran his hand over his hair over the top of his head. If common sense serves me right the CO should be in the corresponding office.

Jarrod approached the CO's office with a purpose. Outside the door he took a deep breath. Who knew how this Lieutenant Colonel was.

He pressed the chime on the door and waited to be called in.

OOC: Hope this is a good enough first post. I've some experience with this, but it's been awhile. Star Trek Borderlands was a good home for awhile. If anything should be corrected, please let me know so I may correct it in the future.

OOC: you need to tag someone in the comments if you want to speak with them

OOC: Oh... yeah..... should have thought about that....... may I blame the lack of sleep...?

1

OOC: A corporal probably wouldn't go to meet a Lt.Col. At most the captain or he Lt.

OOC: Yeah, but I just figured to go to the highest rank. In my experience I didn't have to since my unit was local and pretty far away from the main unit. Some cases you would have to report in to the highest rank.

Kind of difficult for an NCO to get to where he's going when he isn't exactly assigned a company/squad. So, ergo, I went to the top. If that makes any sense.

"Come in." He says in a distinctly Coruscant accent.

Jarrod took a deep breath, exhaling slowly as he entered the Lieutenant Colonel's office. Taking no time at all, the sergeant took his place a few paces away from the Colonel's desk, standing at the position of attention, giving him a quick salute.

"Sergeant Jarrod Dells, reporting for duty, Sir," the sergeant said standing rigid and eyes staring forward, nearly unbending like his loyalty to the Empire.

1

"Can I help you with something, Sergeant?" Tiranis asks as he leans back in his office chair. He was surprisingly short, especially for an officer. And quite young too for his position.

Dropping his salute, Jarrod felt confused.

"I'm reporting for duty, Sir. I wasn't exactly given an assignment."

Good job, Dells. You're making yourself look like an incompetent non-comm.

"My orders were to report to the Evictus for assignment. No further orders were given to me -- no assigned company or platoon..."

Dells hoped the Colonel would understand. Surely, he would. This wasn't the first time this has happened in the history of the Stormtrooper Corps, but knowing Dells... it was the Colonel's first time this had happened...

Jarrod, you fool... he thought to himself...

1

"Err... very well. Let me talk to somebody who'll get you sorted out." He holograms an intelligence officer of the stormtrooper corps whose duties involve things like sorting out units and making transfers.

"Captain Mortava, I have a non-commissioned officer who wasn't assigned a unit or CO here. Can you find any vacancies you can fill him in at? His rank is Sergeant."

OOC: u/AnAngryAnimal, can you figure something out with the CoC?
