###Build Help/Ready:
Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do)
Yes, indeed, I have.
What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.
General gaming. My craptop is about.... well, it's old. Bought it back in '09. How it's still alive and running is beyond me. Again, just general gaming and usual stuff.
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings)
Just a good all-around performance with a budget build. Playing games on high would be wonderful but I can deal with medium settings if need be. I'm not exactly picky at this point.
**What is
Jarrod had just come aboard the ISD Evictus. It was a new posting, but not the first Star Destroyer he had been assigned to. The system was a hot bed of activity and NCOs were apparently in short supply. The non-comm either drew the short straw or someone saw him worthy of transferring him to the Evictus.
Regardless, Jarrod would do his duty and obey his orders as they were given to him. A commendable aspect for one such as himself.
For most newcomers, the corridors and halls of an Imperial Star Destroyer were a confusing labyrinth of plasteel and terminals, however, this wasn't the man's first time.
However, for everyone, they must report in to their assigned commanding officer.
Last time I played was about a month ago. A lot of people were having frame rate issues and other kinks. Just wondering what has been fixed since then... I think the last update I saw might have been 1.03 or something.
I would have been keeping up with things but making the sudden decision to move and my current living condition (or lack thereof) has been making things difficult.
Thank you to those who respond.
I'm honestly tapped out on ideas. Sound's still working, but the screen is just black. I've done every suggestion I've seen from others with different problems, and everything inbetween.
I don't see how/why I can't see anything on my screen. Every update worked perfectly (I'll admit the game lagged pretty badly during normal play after the stable's combat update), but this one... nothing... I don't know what's going on.
If anyone else has any suggestions I'm all ears. Please, and thank you.
Edit: Problem has been solved. Shoutout to u/ValentinPearce for his suggestion and to u/Fenrakk101 for trying to help out. Thanks, guys/grils.
What it says on the tin. Music and sound are working just fine.... Just a black screen. I've done all I've could and I can't think of anything... any and all help will be gladly appreciated.
And I'm impressed with it. I've often questioned the developer's update agenda, but regardless of my opinion on that, they have created something that has exceeded my expectations. I'm not saying that I thought this game was going to be horrible, it was just the lack of stable updates I started to lose faith.
Now, after legitimately buying the game (finally, with a decent enough job and paycheck) and playing again (it's not much time, but enough to make me interested once again) I applaud the developers for what they've created.
Now, if you'll excuse me, me and Ace Marlboro (my Novakid character) have a universe to explore and trouble to get into.
Hello! I've posted this once before a long time ago. I have come here to hopefully gain some interest in a PBEM (play by email) roleplay called [Star Trek: Borderlands] (http://www.startrekborderlands.com/).
It has a total of seven or eight 'duty stations' where you'll live and work as your character. I'm not entirely sure the posting statuses of most DS's, but I do know that Starbase Horizon II is in need of players, badly. It's a good DS with a solid crew -- having been a member there for some time.
I will try to answer any/all questions you may have about the PBEM. Any answers that I cannot directly answer, I will ask around and hopefully get back to you ASAP. However, the timing
Hello! Took me some time to find a PBEM sub. I have come here to hopefully gain some interest in a PBEM (play by email) roleplay called [Star Trek: Borderlands] (http://www.startrekborderlands.com/).

....did something happen with some of the combat mechanics after Horse Lords came out. I'm a bit familiar with how things went before the new expansion.
Clear victories are somehow turning into defeats -- I outnumber the enemy and my morale is full. Taking some territory doesn't add onto the war-score, noticed this while helping the Byzantine Empire, and while taking care of things (revolts and the like) on the home front.
I've just never had seen this before up until now. It's frustrating me, and making the game, to me, not so much fun anymore.
