Kratom Storage - Easy Peasy Summer Breezy

I have been seeing some people asking about long-term storage. The basics for securely storing your stash are simple and you can customize every which way. This was a hot topic a bit ago and is what we found.

##★ Kratom is extremely shelf stable ★ Moisture is the real enemy

Moisture can cause mold. Mold is bad. Seal things up well enough to keep the kratom in and stray crap out and put it in a safe dry place. Zippie bags are adequate and you can double-bag it for extra measure. If you use sharpies, only write above the zipper because the marker stank can affect the kratom. Other than that, mason jars are good. Foil mylar bags are good. Kraft food bags plain or with little windows are good. Ziploc twist-n-locs are good. Tupperware, rubbermaid, empty coffee cans, old country crock containers, the possibilities are limited only by your imagination:) Stick it in your closet, drawer, a box, under your bed, whatever's clever. You can vacuum seal in bags or mason jars and even add silica packs for hardcore kratocolypse preparedness (video).

Don't bury it in your yard. Don't bury it in your neighbor's yard. Don't tell everyone you know all about your kratom. No moisture. No spilling. Keep it in your house. Keep it dry. And you are good to ヽ(❛◡˜๑)

edit: Also, be careful in the dark

##If you're all into "science" and "proof" and stuff...

A fellow redditor redditor experimented with kratom by storing it both sealed and exposed to air in extreme temperature conditions. After six months it showed no significant differences when analyzed by UV Chromatography. Temperature doesn't seem to matter. TIL.

Sunlight does not degrade kratom but it does affect it. Aside from potential color changes, sunlight oxidizes kratom in effect making it stronger by way of voodoo science.
