Demoted units should work same way as Promoted one, that means once demote unit leaves play, it should be turned back to gold. Nenneke and Shani are not balanced if they are able to return gold units.

It's something kind of unique to NR. Being able to use sergeants on your own units in order to make more use of a gold is an incredible power and synergy with golds. And if you were to take that away, you take away more of NRs power. I'm glad CDPR think that too. If you can't stop them, steal their targets with caretaker or griffins.
This actually makes sense. I'm fine with how it is now, but won't complain if this happens.
This is a conscious choice on our part.
We don't agree that they "should" revert to Gold.
Cool - I believe it is a cool mechanic for NR that they can demote their units and revive them - its some investment and they risk the target being stolen. Also you always have control over something to strong with permadeath keyword.
What I did not like about this is that DBomb and DShackles should be answer to card like scorch dragon, but using it against NR is usually bad idea, because instead of one dragon, you will be forced to beat two more dragons.
lol what kind of matches are you playing that Bork is played every round?
one of the games, I Dbombed bork, then killed with thunder. after that he used nenneke on it. I passed. next round he used shani. so yeah.
that was actually extremely common for a couple weeks in the early days of last patch.
but it isn't nowadays ;) that was the time that everything got demoted by kaedweni sergeants
