pretty accurate
I actually feel fairly confident that I can be a decent Psychiatrist in my PGY1. What scares me to death is the 6 months Psych interns spend on IM/EM/Neuro. That's where I'm terrified that I'll kill someone.
Are you me?
It's really not bad at all. You rarely make major treatment decisions on your own as an intern.
Psych PGY-2 here. I shared your fears... however, in my experience, it's truly a team effort. Most of it is still just carrying out the team's plan from above. You got this!
Psych pgy-3 here. It sucks but you won't kill anyone. The worst you'll do is piss off your team by being too patient centered. /shrug haters gonna hate.
So much faking it 'till you make it
I honestly felt pretty confident on my subi's that i was ready, but now I've forgotten everything.
I felt pretty good on my peds sub-i - in July, with five patients at most. Even on nights covering the whole team wasn't so bad - but I wasn't responsible for the sub-specialty cross-cover the interns also have. I have no clue what to do for any onc patient and anything worse than mild croup in the ED is terrifying. I'm just glad we start in July when no one is sick, not January...

Boy, I've got some bad news for you about a holiday in July involving children and fireworks.
Please, I can handle calling a surg consult :P
Which episode is that?? I don't remember it..
Adventure Time Season 8 Episode 1-2. The episode is fairly new and premiered on January 23rd, 2017.
I edited that scene to exclude the part where Doctor Princess mentions she isn't really a physician, just her name is a Doctor.
Oh, wow there hasn't been new episodes in so long, I didn't even realize. thanks!! Can't wait to watch AT tonight! You literally made my whole week- wait no this week is ending, you made my whole next week too!
Haha. You're in for a real treat, there's a lot of plot development in the episodes posted so far.

In all honesty, I completely expect it to be an overwhelming shitshow but I'm so excited to not have to grovel to my resident to approve my Tylenol order for the 3rd time while the patient complains to the nurse about his headache that I've "done nothing for!"
Grovelling now is good practice. You have to grovel to insurance companies and argue on the phone with doctors on their payroll to get the procedures and treatments you want for your patients.
What has been your your most high-yield tactics of groveling?
Is there a Pathoma equivalent for high yield groveling techniques?
