Hey all. I am wondering if it is ok to submit my applications after July 20 this week like say Friday July 22. Everything is ready except for two letters of recommendation, which after hounding my letter writers, they finally submitted last Friday the 15th. I would like to submit those letters at same time as rest of application; however, it sucks having to wait for it to be processed. Should I still submit now then wait for those letters to be processed before sending them to programs?

Hey guys, I am not sure how to approach this situation. I am an internal med intern back up on a general medicine floor month starting yesterday. I have had some really awesome med students within past few months including today who were really on it. They did all my presentations for me and nailed it for my attending. I didn't have to present or say anything at all. Today, I get the news that I lose my super awesome med students as they are leaving to other rotations and find out I have to train 3 PA students along with my co intern and senior. I have such mixed feelings about this situation. On one hand, I like teaching and want to pursue a career in academia. At same time, I have

Hello all. As title says, I am fresh intern about to start on Nephro consults. I never did a nephro rotation in medical school. Additionally, I consider it one of my weakest subjects. If anybody could give me some pointers or resources I can check out to prepare, that would be great. Thank you guys for your time and help.

Hello all. I am moving to Atlanta for new job at Grady Hospital on June 15. I am looking for gyms in the area. I will be living in Brookhaven near Buckhead.

Any recommendations for gyms to check out? I know it's a weird time given the pandemic. I am looking for a place that trains both gi and no-gi. Additionally, I'd like a place that offers wrestling and striking/mma classes.

She is present on one of the new WP and there is a 3D model of her already in game. Any predictions or idea what element and weapon she is going to be?

Hello all, my laptop (lenovo helix bought in july 2013) hard drive has failed me and unfortunately IT pros say it's time to find a new laptop. I am looking to buy something similar to the helix. I am interested in watching livestreams (would like HD graphics) and playing games on higher details without FPS drops. What are some laptops you recommend? I have no budget as my family plans to gift me this for graduating med school and moving on to residency.

As I am getting interview invites for different residency programs (graduating med school), I will be traveling around the country and want to keep up my training throughout October-January. I know about several NYC and Los Angeles area schools because of family; however, in other parts of the country I am not so familiar. I will be visiting NJ, Michigan, West Virginia, Ohio, Florida, Alabama, Utah, Idaho, and Norcal as well. May I please have some recommendations of some schools?

Hello all:

I have a mix of feelings regarding my father within past few months. Some background: immigrant father form Hong Kong living the American Dream of house with picket fence and 2 kids (my brother and me). My brother and I grew up in borderline Tiger household with us graduating top of our classes in high school and each of us going to a top 10 school for college graduating with Financial engineering and Biomedical engineering degrees. My brother is an I-banker age 29, and I am in med school currently age 27.

I am forever grateful for his support and help; however, as he is approaching his 70s, his executive function has started slowing down. His driving has become very err

Hey all:

I am about to graduate school in spring, and I will be moving to start residency. I haven't bought a new computer in over 6 years. I am familiar with both MACs and PCs, so I have no issues with either; however, my dad had worked for IBM for over 40 years, so I had always used Lenovo computers primarily. My last computer, which I am currently using, is a Lenovo Helix bought back in 2013. I am thinking about a computer I can use for remote work at home and at same time, be able to use for personal entertainment as my Helix has a hard time running higher RAM and graphic quality games. Besides suggestions for computers, what is/are a good resource/s or site/s I can refer to for be

Blue Belt Crossroads

General Discussion

Becoming a new blue belt still hasn't fully sunk in yet. Sure, it is nice my hard work and dedication has payed off after almost 2 years. I can do the basics; however, there are a lot I still screw up and little details I forget. Additionally, I noticed today during rolling I today it felt like everybody had upped their game against me more than usual. I am somewhat confused as to how to proceed in progress my learning. For those that are purple belt and above, what are the things I should be focusing on conceptually as a blue belt?

So tonight, after almost 2 years of training (anniversary is October 1), I got promoted to blue. We do the belt whipping gauntlet, and holy crap! my back hurts like no other. What did you guys do to heal faster from that? I went to the grocery store right away to buy a crap load of ice to get into an ice bath, but it aint enough.
