Your guide to ToraDora media
Your guide to ToraDora media
There seems to be a lot of people who don't know about ToraDora's many other forms. Such as the visual novel. In fact, there is plenty of great ToraDora material so maybe this will cure your post ToraDora depression. Anyways, here i will be covering all the known sources of ToraDora media and maybe some good fan stuff too. One quick note,I don't technically support piracy but I'm just saying there are sources where you can get all of this for free.
Most of this is pulled from the wiki.
The original material. Written by Yuyuko Takemiya and illustrated by [Yasu](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yasu_(illustrator). There are 10 novels/volumes in which the story is originally told. There are also 4 chapters not released in volumes. 3 are in anthologies and the last was released separately. Finally there are 3 ToraDora spin off volumes.
You can find translations here
The material we all know and love. Compiled into a 25 episode animated series that blew us away... maybe. The Japanese voice acting is top notch and the dub is surprisingly awesome. There's one OVA that, while not pivotal to the story, is a nice watch. Finally there is ToraDora SOS. They are essentially the short specials of ToraDora. Our mains get together and, uh, try out food..
You can buy the premium set here It contains the whole series on DVD, Blueray, and comes with a art book too. Or you can get two standard editions, both one half of the show. You can also legally stream it on Hulu and Crunchyroll.
Adapted and illustrated by Zekkyō. There currently 7 volumes. The last one to come out in 2015. It's not only licensed in Japan but many other countries as well. A quick google search will bring you plenty of sources. Including a legal way through Amazon here.
So there's a radio show...
Apparently there were 38 episodes.
Hosted by Ruiji and Ami with other anime guests too...

Toradora Portable AKA the psp visual novel
This was originally released in Japan for the psp as a visual novel. You wake up as Ryuuji now with amnesia. You now are set to explore your past and persue whoever you want. I even got Haruta... Still, you can go out and get that ending you always wanted. Felt like Ami deserved more? Go for it. How about Minori? Same. I do suggest giving it one blind play through and then following some guides for your desired ending. Your endings are graded, there is an enforced playing order, and the game is divided into three segments.
There is an English Patch here, PSP emulator here, and the original game iso is... unlinkable. For legal reasons of course.
Now this is one of my favorite parts of all of this. The music. Composed by Yukari Hashimoto and sung by the original voice actors. It includes:
- Toradora Original Soundtrack
- Toradora Best Album - HAPPYEND (Two Disks)
- -Disk One: HAPPYEND
- -Disk Two: Original Soundtrack Extora!
- Toradora Portable Soundtrack
- Toradora Character Song Album
- Toradora OP Single - Pre-Parade
- Toradora OP2 Single - Silky Heart
- Toradora ED Single - Vanilla Salt
- Toradora ED2 Single - Orange
- Toradora Portable! ED Single
You will find plenty of great stuff here. I know it reads like a list of songs but they are actually compilations. There are tons of variations and more. I highly suggest checking this out if you liked some of ToraDora's tracks. This is one of my favorites that isn't in the anime. Also turn your volume down..
Fan Stuff
Now we have finally covered all official ToraDora stuff for your consumption. But wait. THERE'S MORE. We're talking great abridged episodes, musical edits, and more. So lets get jamming.
- MAD Toradora - Minori pon pon. Music for the soul.
- Night of Minorin. More music.
- MAD - Minorin Fantasy V. Seeing a trend here?
- Taiga Overdrive!. Musical Taiga.
And then there's this. Urusai! Urusai!, which is a parody of this, which spawned things like this. Just looking at these three videos makes my life complete... BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE.
- A good abridged that has gone for 12 episodes so far. ToraDora! Randomness Episode 1
- I personally liked this abridged. DoraTora A ToraDora Abridged Parody Episode 1
- Arguably the best. Toradora Abridged Episode 1: The One with the Emo Hair
- Just found this one and it's great. Toradora: The Obviously Abridged Comedy Show
- Just for inclusions sake. There's this one. This one. This one. And this one.
Finally there is this golden thing. And maybe this.
Well there you go! I'm sure there is more fan stuff but I'm already at the 3 hour mark as of writing this ending. While comprehensive, I encourage you to check out the links and do research yourself. ToraDora is great and there is plenty to explore. Once again, I can only officially say to get all of this legally. I hope you enjoyed at least reading about all the forms and that you may be inspired to create your own community contributions! I'm also sure there are errors somewhere in here...
