Should I complete college or get a job before University?

I am 18 years old. My situation is: I was rejected on all courses I applied for at Uni (lack of experience in the profession... even tho I need the degree to get a job to get experience ????????). One Uni has offered me a related degree unconditionally (I can start in Sept w/o taking my summer exams).

I am in college (UK) atm

Options:

Related course

• • Gain experience working in sector on placements (I can work in home city)
• • Have a Uni degree where I can join 2nd year of my course (or apply for apprenticeship as degree is related)
• • distance (9-5 every Tuesday. commute is 2.5 hrs by car)
• • works out at £250 per Tuesday but student loan covers it

Complete 1 A level

• Not dependent on entering the related course
• My mum wants me to complete at least 1 of the 3 I'm taking
• • Psychology course relates to Mental Health degree (unconditional offer)
• • Haven't attended since December so I have last years content & this years content to catch up on. Exams in May
• • stress made me depressed
• • Gain 1 Lv 3 qualification
• • Uni qualification would trump this one (Lv 4)

Work until University starts

• Drops all stress related to college
• Earn money rather than sit around doing nothing like I have for past few months
• I can volunteer too to get additional experience
• Life would feel more organised.

Essentially if I do this Mental Health degree it will tick the 3 things I lack right now to get the apprenticeship/degree I desire. Only issue is the commute so I'm looking for a closer course but I have a 100% garauntee to be accepted on offered. I changed the question half way through writing as I realised taking the related course is the best option for me only other way to get quals is if I pay privately (£6k) / get an apprenticeship (which I need Lv 4 qual + driving experience + care experience to get on to).

I say this to a lot of people on r/makemychocie but even though it might sound like my mind is already made up I still feel so confused. Should I knuckle down for the next few months and try and get this one qualification (which would be made redundant after Uni) or drop out completely, work, attend Uni, then transfer to my desired degree?

tl;dr work until september or try and finish college?
