Bat-Family Heights and Weights
I was digging around the internet the other day, looking for heights and weights for DC characters. I came across the Bat-Family and I thought they were pretty interesting/funny/ridiculous.
These numbers are from the Pre-Flashpoint Universe, but from screens from the recent DC Encyclopedia that came out in like October; I can say that most of these are still accurate. At least for the Robins.
I'll kick it off with Batman, the Robins (In order of appearance), and the Batgirls.
NOTE: I'm using Imperial units of measurement.
Let's get into it.
Bruce Wayne/Batman
- Height: 6'2". Weight: 210 lbs. Age is unknown. Probably in his mid 30's.
Robins:
Dick Grayson/Nightwing
- Height: 5'10". Weight: 175 lbs. Roughly 25 years old.
Jason Todd/Red Hood
- Height: 6'0". Weight: 225 lbs. 19 or 20 years old.
Tim Drake/Red Robin
- Height: 5'5". Weight: 125 lbs. 17 years old.
Damian Wayne/Robin
- Height: 5'4". Weight: 140 lbs. Almost 12 years old.
Batgirls
Barbara Gordon
- Height: 5'7". Weight: 126 lbs. Older than Dick, but younger than Bruce
Stephanie Brown
- Height" 5'5". Weight: 129 lbs. Almost as old as Jason, so 18-19 years old.
Cass Cain
- Height: 5'5". Weight: 127 lbs. 19 or so years old.
COMMENTS:
Tim is a tiny dude. But he could realistically be the size and strength of a 56 kilo weightlifter if he's done growing.
Jason is built like brick shit house. He's two inches shorter than Bruce, but 15 pounds heavier. He's 100 lbs heavier than Tim, but only 7 inches taller. Nobody really seems like the can physically oppose him, but Bruce. Damian probably could in 10 years. Jason is comparable in size to this man, Dmitry Klokov., a Russian weightlifter. The weights in the video are in kilos, but just take those numbers times 2.2 for pounds. I provided the video because I was having a hard time imaging what somebody of that build would look like.
Dick is probably the most normally built person in the Bat-Fam. He's got an above average height, and a good, lean ass - I mean weight. His size makes perfect sense with his acrobatic background.
Damian is a built kid. He'll probably be heavier than Jason, and taller than Bruce in his prime. I'd say like 6'6", 260+. I can see now why he can take on Tim in hand-to-hand.
Like I mentioned beforehand, these are Pre-Flashpoint numbers, but the ages of the two recent Batgirls amaze me. They are about the same age as Jason, who I thought was at least 21 when he came back. Cass and Steph have solid, athletic builds compared to Tim, and even Barbara considering the age gap.
Though these numbers probably don't mean much now, or even when they were first introduced in the old continuity, they are fun to look at. It can give a good mental image of what these characters could look like in real life, or what they shouldn't look like in real life. Looking at you, Tim.
