Where To Buy Quality Shirt Fabrics (for Men)

I've been struggling to find quality shirt fabrics for typical shirts for men.

As an example, you can see these shirts:

http://www.canali.com/en_us/clothing/dress-shirts.html

I mean, they're nothing special as such, but I'll be d**ned if I can find any shop on the internet having anything remotely like this, when it comes to fabric.

Just to be clear. I'm looking to sew a couple of shirts and I'm drawing zero so far when it comes to where to find cotton fabric to make them.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you. Really. It's hard not to come off as ungrateful when I say this but it's gotta be said. The site seems to be made in Frontpage97, probably in that year also, and the photos are lacking in every department.

However, it's the best cloth and fabric store online I've come across so far, and that's saying something. So thanks.

Haha yeah their website is atrocious and their store in LA is similarly difficult to navigate (they write their prices like 11995- meaning 1 yard is 19.95. It makes no sense! Everything is priced per yard! Use periods! ) but having been in their store I can attest to the high quality of the product!

Look at fashionfabricsclub.com for shirting fabrics. Also Emma One Step (stupid name alert) at http://www.emmaonesock.com/ has absolutely gorgeous Italian cotton but expect to pay upwards of $20/yd. Look for key words like chambray, poplin, linen.

Well, first let me say thank you for answering.

Going through Emma One Sock, I'm having a really - and I mean really - hard time finding anything without flowers on it or a deep deep color. I was under the impression that it would be easy to find a light blue Sea Island Cotton fabric to buy. Boy was I wrong.

Thanks still, very much, for taking the time to write down your suggestions.

After I copied their web site for you, I had to go back and spend many dollars on some fab fab. Look at their Italian cottons, They come in solid colors, sew like a dream, and are just beautiful. Good luck!

I LOVE Fashion Fabrics Club. I haven't gotten fabric I've been displeased with, though I do tend to make an effort to avoid product photos that look iffy. If they take a crap photo, I'll just assume the whole stock may have faults like what's shown and avoid it.

https://www.acornfabrics.com/ - they have decent prices and a great selection for shirting as well. Their customer service is also really nice too!

See if this this place sells fabric: https://www.cego.com/ I've never bought fabric, but have visited and their shirts are nice and made on the premises.

This place sells great men's shirting: https://www.fabricczar.com/

Neither will be cheap.

I've bought some fabric from mood.com to make dress shirts for my husband - they have some nice "pinpoint" material as well as plaids, stripes, solids, etc. Check out their shirting section.
