Decently sized meteorite just landed in Hyde Park
Not sure if this is news or not but it's not something you see or hear about often. It was pretty decently sized and super bright, did anyone else see it?

Did you see it from Hyde Park? Because that's different than one landing in Hyde Park. If it's possible to track it down you'd have a small fortune on your hands.

Here are reports from others:

Oh no. Isn't this how one of the stories started in creepshow.
We saw something very bright and blue pass over Northside at that time! Crazy!
I saw it fly through the sky last night while hanging outside next to a fire. Actually commented about how big/bright it was for a shooting star.
There were people hanging out front of my friends appartment going on about seeing a UFO.
This shed some light on the situation.
Yeah that was definitely not a UFO, UFO's are not bright rocks zooming through neighborhoods super fast
It must have landed west of Northside. Maybe Mt Airy forest? I was driving down Bruce Ave heading west and it was directly in front of me in the sky.
My girlfriend called me on her way home from Newport (driving north) claiming there was a shooting star or something. This might have been it.
You say landed. How confident are you that it actually landed? Most just disintegrate.
The likelihood of it actually being intact is extremely low. Millions of meteorites penetrate the atmosphere daily, but only a very small fraction survive.
I think it was big enough at the point it was close to impact that it probably survived, maybe smashed into pieces but it probably survived
I want to look for for it and get a symbiote from it....But I might get cancer out of it
Hopefully not Carnage that would be bad. Thats a bad symbiote.
I witnessed it from blue ash! It was green in color and I believe I saw some red at the end before it went behind the tree line.
Can I track it down and forge a sword out of it, or is that mostly just for books and movies?
You could try. It's likely got a very high nickle content which is very not good for sword making.
Alright, I'm off to Hyde Park. Wish me luck.
Nickel, Chrome, and Moly are basically the trinity of high strength / special alloy steels
You have two make two swords though. One that is claimed by evil, the other must be its match so a future hero can find it and save us all. Or is that just in the books?
Good bye space sword
