Is that why the Battle.net app suddenly popped up asking for my password? It normally doesn't make me enter it when I start it so I got confused as to why it would pop up and ask when it was already running and logged in.

Managed to enter SC2 just now around 1-2 hours ago, but after like half an hour my Friend couldn't enter the game.

I managed to update Overwatch on their akamai mirror but the login server has been taken down.
Checking IP logs the hosts are responding to pings but not login.
The forums were kind of up but clicking on posts would show a 500 error.

You're lucky that it happened then. You would've eventually have got booted out of the game. A bunch of people got booted from comp games mid-match a few times and lost like 50-100 SR before the server fully booted them out of the game.

I literally just won a match on Oasis and was kicked at the results screen. I got lucky

I wanted to make a post about this, and maybe I will.
After a row of hanzos, attack torbs and just plain morons I stumbled upon communicating team which combined ultimates and was overall really motivating. We won first koth round and the game kicked me out for no reason. I tried to relog, but all I was left with was main screen with "Return to the game" button. YES, I DO WANT TO RETURN TO THAT GAME, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. And the button stayed for at least couple hours denying me of possibility of playing.
Needless to say, the game has also eaten my 60 SR.

Actually, it is frustratingly easy. There are big enough botnets that even Blizzard can't handle some kid with a prepaid Visa. Just a function of how our networking technology works.

It normally doesn't happen often; the only times BNet and all the games go down is either maintenance on the whole system, or someone is DDoSing Blizz.

I was at the end of my first successful run through of uprising at like 3 am and it bumped me out and then when I tried to login it said 2000 for me. Never seen that before in a year of playing

Might have to do with them successfully suing the cheat makers recently.

I have noticed it is really frequent but Blizzard arent Sony for example, I cant think of a group that would constantly wanna do this so often except cheaters but IMO its too frequent even for them and AFAIK they have been cheating fine lately.
