Three months sober and I just drank a shot's worth of vodka. Goddamnit.

You can stop now. You don't need to drink anymore! You slipped up. Start fresh, right now. Maybe do something to take your mind off of it. Hopefully you have an SO to turn to or good family / friends. You can do it.

I did manage to stop after only the shot. Trying not to let that slip-up dictate what I do today, or tomorrow, and so on. Feels all too easy to have another drink.

it would be easy to have another drink. Way too easy. there is strength in vulnerability, you know. That could have been worse. Much worse. You caught it and pulled it right out of the fire. Kudos.

Relapse is part of recovery, but one slip doesn't have to lead to a return to active addiction. It also doesn't make you a failure!
