a memory

I fried three eggs in a pan, 
I was hungry
I made them over-easy

                                                 but was it beautiful?

I ate like a crook,
I added ketchup
it was the only sauce I had

                                                do you think everything will stay as it is?

I cleaned it all up,
people were sleeping upstairs
I didn't want to wake them           

                                                 did any of them remind you of me?

I walked through the house,
Thinking of more food for tomorrow
I cant seem to think too clearly today

                                                 I love you, I just wanted you to know.
