I don't think @CorsairAnt is referring to the aluminum shrouds... how can removing something that literally slides off void the warranty. You would have no idea they had been previously removed if something went wrong and the customer slid them back on. No glue, no sticker saying to not tamper etc.

Thanks for the input. It's a shame, since they look so much better without the shroud (and it's not like you have to yank anything, they slide right off). 

Will void warranty. Do not tamper with your memory modules.
