I've decided to try setting up VLAN's following Ethernet Blueprint's "Full Unifi Config" YT video. One of the primary objectives in his tutorial is to get everything off the Default VLAN and isolate it.

I was having no problems until it came to the UNAS-Pro, which is connected to an SFP port on my switch. I changed the Ports Native VLAN to my "Home Network" and immediately lost connection to the console and could no longer connect to it or find a new IP address despite it still showing up in my list of Unifi Devices. Restarting the NAS doesn't help and it still shows the old IP when checking the settings on the physical display. I do not have a fixed IP address configured but I was using

I recently picked up a UNAS-Pro and while doing transfers from my PC to the NAS I noticed my speed caps around 100-115mb/s. I know my switch only has 1GbE SFP ports but I'm not sure if this is the only bottleneck between devices or there is more I would need to change to get higher speeds.

Hardware:
UDM-Pro
UNAS-Pro
USW 24 PoE
PC's have 2.5GbE RJ45 network adapters

Hi all, I'm trying to wire my compressor directly to an Auxbeam switch panel.

Previously, I had the compressor directly connected to the battery and was using the included isolation switch to power it. Now the wires that were previously on the battery are connected to that 30A fuse on the Auxbeam panel and the isolation switch part of the wiring loom is not connected as I believe that should now be controlled by the Auxbeam buttons inside the vehicle.

Here is a picture of everything tossed together just trying to test it before mounting and making it clean: https://imgur.com/tWuL7e1

And here is a picture of the compressors wiring diagram: https://imgur.com/P8F0VYj

I feel like I see a lot of people ask advice on what NAS will fit their needs. Synology isn't alone but really wish they would invest in some AI assistant to tailor suggested products to the user.

A little background on my setup:

  • Whole house has dedicated Cat6+ wiring
  • Unifi setup; UDM-Pro, Switch, WiFi APs, half a dozen POE Cameras etc.
  • Most devices (e.g. TVs, PCs, Cameras) are hard wired into the router

What I'm looking for:

  • Want to reduce dependency on cloud services for data backup and access my data from anywhere like I currently do on Dropbox/Google
  • Integration with PLEX or something similar to stream Blu-ray/4K+ to TVs/PCs
  • Extend NVR capacity as UDM-Pro only has 1 bay

I want to preface this by saying I am practically brand new to 4x4. I experienced it a bit as a passenger on some beginner trails in BC years ago and always wanted to get into it once I could afford it.

About a month ago I got a truck that could do some more serious off-roading and started exploring near Calgary, nothing too demanding to start with, mostly gravel trails around Kananaskis. Someone recommended I try McLean Creek, so I went out there and this was the first turn I took:

I'm not sure if I went all the way to the end of that drawn red line (or further) because I lost connection, but eventually I got to a steep narrow rocky hill that looked irrespon

I recently got a more capable offroad vehicle and have been exploring the rougher roads in the mountains and within a couple hours of the city.

Today, I went over to Tsuu T'ina and thought I could drive through some of the rougher/gravel reserve roads but immediately came to a sign threatening fines/penalties if I drove further without a permit from the administration office. The administration office and police department appeared to be closed so I couldn't find out more information.

For those who have more experience, is this the same situation for the other reserves in the province like Stoney Nakoda etc.? Would a permit cost anything or be difficult to obtain for recreational purpo

Everywhere I look seems to say that a normal ZR2 is 81.8'' tall (including the antenna) but I can't find the Bison's height and worried it won't fit in my 82'' tall garage door opening. Anyone have one or know the exact dimensions of this truck?

In Canada, e-Transfers have been offered free by banks for at least a couple years now. Netcoins, Shakepay and every other exchange I have done business with offer free incoming and outgoing e-Transfers, yet Coinbase charges 1% for sending an e-Transfer. Even when banks charged for this convenience it was a FLAT RATE $1-2 per e-Transfer, not a percentage!

This is flat out robbery, especially since Coinbase is not allowing my mom to send cryptocurrency out to her other exchange and this is the only option. Perhaps because trading to fiat and sending e-Transfers is how they get all their fees??? Sus...

I am not a Coinbase customer, so I am hoping someone can help.

My mother had her Celsius distribution yesterday and later that night we sat down together to transfer the funds to the exchange she is familiar with but the transaction was rejected by Coinbase and the account suddenly restricted from sending crypto (when choosing the Send/Receive button).

We contacted support who told her it was a "temporary restriction" and "you will be able to resume sending cryptocurrency on 2024-04-15."

When asked what triggered this they told us it was because the address we attempted to send to was blacklisted and when this occurs they put a 60 day restriction on accounts. We asked if there was a
