When did the Gorilla Uprising happen?

Although the English version didn't tell much anout the timeline, somehow Russian, German and French version of the news all state that the uprising happened nearlt 10 years ago. But does that date make sense?

It can fit in the timeline but it will be a really tight schedule. Remember there's another event happened nearly 10 years ago, which is the Antarctica Blizzard, making Mei go into cryostasis. Even though it's not clear that when did Mei and Winston became friends, I think it's more possible that they were friends before the blizzard because Mei has a drawing of Winston in Antarctica. It's really unlikely that Mei would go back to Antarctica and making it her "home" after all her colleagues died ^inb4 ^mei ^is ^demon ^joke.

That makes the time range that Mei and Winston could become friends only few month, it's not impossible, but it would be really hard if one is working in the reclusive Antarctica and one is still getting used to his new life on Earth.

So I think the uprising happened more than 10 years ago, up to 18 years ago, because male gorillas matures at 11-13 years old, I'm sure little Winston as a 12-year-old genetically engineered genius gorilla could make his way to earth
