I mean these chants are cool and all but have any of you ever been to a college game? Some people act like they've never heard anything like it before.

That's why a lot of folks say Nashville's crowd reminds them of a college crowd in terms of chants. Nashville fans have been this loud and have done these chants for quite a while now, but the hockey world is finally getting to see it now that they've made it this far.

Is Nashville really that much of a college town? I mean, Vanderbilt is pretty big.

Vanderbilt, Belmont, and MTSU all within the greater Nashville area (MTSU is in Murfreesboro)

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Not counting technical schools and community colleges there are 9 major universities in the greater Nashville area. It's not the called the Athens of the South for nothing.

I didn't hear it on the broadcast, but the CBC announcers mentioned that he heard a "If you're crappy and you know it, ice the puck (clap clap)" chant.
That's a rare one that has to be started by Cellblock 303, or maybe Krazy Kyle on the organ. I haven't had the opportunity to take part in that one yet, but it's one that I wish were bigger.
Something that I think I've heard on the broadcast (but not super clearly) is after the opposing team's power play announcement, there's "AND THEY STILL SUCK."
A non-chant that might be worth mentioning is "Fang Fingers."

As a season tickets holder for years now for the preds, I can say that after the announcement they do say "and they still suck". I've also heard the "if you're crappy and you know it" a few times but that was over the course of about 10 years worth. They don't do that one as much. And most of it does come from 303.

I'm not a huge fan of that chant, but it has grown on me.

I love the chant during the starting lineup. After each player - "YOU SUCK!" - and then when they get to the coach... "HE SUCKS TOO!"
Not necessarily super creative, but sure sounds hella fun when it's loud enough for the TV to pick it up.

They do that here at the local Colorado Eagles games. It makes me giggle every time.

Also theres a different chant for after a goal was scored by the preds. Instead of saying "you" like six times like was said in the video they say "you, you, it's what we're gonna do".

I have been going to games for a few years now and I always say YOU a bunch of times. The alternate chant is news to me.

I've had season tickets since they came to Nashville in 1998 and sat in 304. All I meant by the above was that I've heard both chants. The bunch of "you" chants is mostly from newer fans trying to get into the chants. It's a lot like the telephone game where you misinterpret what's said the longer down the line it goes

Oh yea I am not disputing what you are saying. I totally fit the new fan demo. I just thought it was interesting because I had never heard the alternate chant.

I knew the Preds fans have some sick chants but not to this degree! I am jealous of that hockey culture. Makes Pens fans even more boring, especially in comparison.

I guess when you you got an arena full of drunk, uninformed fans, you gotta make your own fun, and lots of it.

This isn't unique to the Playoffs. Preds fans do this with every game.

I hate the Preds... they are the only team I didn't want to play in the playoffs (and I was right). I love the hell out of those chants though.

As a Rangers fan who has to deal with the absolutely painful lack of enthusiasm in the Garden recently, this is refreshing to see. The Garden sounds like a library, and the Potvin Sucks chant is all we got.
It felt like y'all were up 3-0 in Ottowa during that blowout in game 4. (at least I think it was Game 4)
Doh, it wasn't Game 4, Ottowa had home ice.
