In the moonlight

It was in the moonlight/ In which I found the stars./ They were so ruthlessly stolen from the sky,/ And nestled into her eyes/ As if that was their home all along.//

It was in the moonlight In which I found tranquility./ The moons seas stormed down to earth, / Before gently trickling into her, / like a cool mountain stream.//

It was in the moonlight / In which I found a beauty./ I found it not in a dew kissed flower. / I found it not in a speckled fawn. / I found it in a place some only dream of./ I found it in her,/ the one who was formed of the world. //

It was in the moonlight I found her./ It was in my arms I needed her./ It was in the moonlight i found her./ It was in my dreams I kept her.
