Top 10 Favorite Challengers According to the Subreddit(Males)

Last week u/seacattlemoohawks and I made this post asking you guys to rank your top 5 favorite challengers of each gender, giving five points to first place, four points to second place, and so on. Now we have tallied them up and are presenting the top 10 of male challengers here. Also some big spoilers for Champs vs Pros below as well just so everyone knows.

Honorable Mentions: Jordan Wisely(RW Portland) and Cohutta Grindstaff(RW Sydney)

Jordan was the closest to making the top 10 being four points shy of the tenth spot with 38 points off of 18 lists, the RW Portland alum has emerged as a favorite of the new generation of challengers. Cohutta was the only other person with 30+ points with 32 points off of 15 lists, a very likable and kindhearted guy with a southern charm to him it's not really a surprise to seem well liked by this community.

10. Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio(RW Key West)

First Appearance: The Duel

Latest Appearance: Invasion of the Champions

Upcoming Appearance: Dirty 30

This one surprised me the most, for as much hate as the guy gets on here there are still quite a few fans giving him 42 points off of 18 lists. The all time winningest challenger and the one with the most appearances to his name there were bound to be fans of his, though he didn't receive any first place votes. He's come in number 1 on six challenges but on this list he'll have to settle for number 10.

9. Leroy Garrett(RW Las Vegas 2)

First Appearance: Rivals

Latest Appearance: Rivals III

Upcoming Appearance: Dirty 30

The only person in the top 10 to make their debut after The Duel and the highest ranked person that didn't receive any first place votes the Las Vegas 2 alum totaled 54 points off of 21 lists, his laid back demeanor and dominating physical prowess was enough to land him second place on six of those lists. From his dominating performance on the Rivals Bombs Away challenge to his 4-0 elimination record on Battle of the Exes 2 he has plently of moments that have become fan favorites.

8. Kenny Stantucci(Fresh Meat)

First Appearance: Fresh Meat

Latest Appearance: Rivals

Upcoming Appearance: N/A

Mr. Beautiful himself lands at the number eight spot with 73 points off of 24 lists including four first place finishes. In my opinion he is the greatest politician in Challenge history, he wasn't particularly good at dailies, he wasn't particularly good at eliminations(despite his 5-1 record), yet he made it to the finals 7 out of 8 seasons(6 in a row) and won 3 of those. Why? He's very likable to the people in the house, he's not afraid to make deals with an opposing player or team, and he's shown to be very loyal to his word. His Italian ancestry really shows as whenever he's on a season he becomes the godfather of the household.

7. Evan Starkman(Fresh Meat)

First Appearance: Fresh Meat

Latest Appearance: Rivals

Upcoming Appearance: N/A

In my opinion Evan is the most likable out of all the three member of JEK and this subreddit apparently agrees with the Fresh Meat alum getting seventh place with 81 points off of 34 lists. The Canadian moose of a man was the highest ranked Fresh Meat alumni for the guys and is the only non US native to make the list. A lackluster showing on his final season was not enough to dissuade people from voting him high as he received a solid three first place rankings.

6. Abram Boise(RR South Pacific)

First Appearance: The Gauntlet

Latest Appearance: Battle of the Bloodlines

Upcoming Appearance: N/A

The first Road Ruler to appear but not the last Abe is not only known for being a great competitor but also potentially the craziest. With 85 points across 28 lists while collecting three first place finishes he just misses the top 5 at number six. My personal favorite Abram moment is his performance in the Balls In elimination vs Brad which is one of the greatest eliminations ever, as I'm sure we can all agree on.

5. Darrell Taylor(RR Campus Crawl)

First Appearance: The Gauntlet

Latest Appearance: Invasion of the Champions

Upcoming Appearance: Dirty 30

The golden glove boxer and first challenger ever to collect four wins begins the top 5 by getting 92 points off of 34 lists. He only received two first place votes but got quite a few second and third place votes to propel him into this spot. He made his long awaited return on Invasion where he lost in the final elimination vs the eventual champ CT and with a win on the Champs vs Pros spinoff season we will see if he can once again become the champ on Dirty 30.

4. Derrick Kosinski(RR X-Treme)

First Appearance: Battle of Sexes 2

Latest Appearance: Cutthroat

Upcoming Appearance: Dirty 30

The Wolverine of The Challenge, he's small, aggressive, and a favorite among us fans. He's listed as the most beloved RRer on here and received 109 points across 40 lists, including four first place finishes, he's good enough for the fourth place spot. He's been eliminated on the final elimination on three seasons as well as winning three challenge finals, we will see if he can shake off the rust on Dirty 30 and win his fourth challenge.

3. Landon Lueck(RW Philadelphia)

First Appearance: The Inferno 2

Latest Appearance: Fresh Meat 2

Upcoming Appearance: N/A

Who doesn't love Landon? The dude might be the nicest guy to ever be on the show. Obviously he was shown a lot of love to come in at third with 119 points across 40 lists. His last appearance was all the way back in Fresh Meat 2 and it doesn't appear as if he's going to make a come back but he is still remembered very fondly by many fans of the show.

2. Wes Bergmann(RW Austin)

First Appearance: Fresh Meat

Latest Appearance: Rivals III

Upcoming Appearance: N/A

It shouldn't have come as a surprise since he's my personal favorite challenger but it actually did that he got so much love. Not him coming in second exactly but him getting 284 points across 76 lists is insane. The elimination king himself dominated every other challenger except one. He got 24 first place votes and 27 second place votes. Whether it's him carrying Casey to a final on Fresh Meat, his emotional win on The Duel, him standing up to JEK on The Ruins, him beating an Olympian in elimination on Champs vs Pros, or his rivalry turned bromance with CT that has really endeared many fans to Wes over the years.

1. Chris "CT" Tamburello(RW Paris)

First Appearance: The Inferno

Latest Appearance: Invasion of the Champions

Upcoming Appearance: Dirty 30

Was this a surprise to anybody? Considering he gathered 362 points across 92 lists I don't think so. He received 44 first place votes and 21 second place votes. He has possibly shown the most growth of any person on the show going from the hotheaded insane physical beast of a man to the relaxed dad bod teddy bear we have now. From his relationship with Diem to his fight with Adam to his friendship with Wes to basically everything he has done on the show, he truly deserves to be placed as the number 1 fan favorite amoung all challengers.
