Twinge

Time slowed to a stop; animosity 
Cruel sight less imagined; devalued 
A sprint, a halt, a failed reason; pity 
“But I love you”; repeated platitude


Mirrors reflect the soul; epidemic 
Shards of humanity; deformation 
Blood boils, eyes blister, teeth bare; chaotic 
Pain is not the curtain; conflagration

The drought of all emotion; decadence 
This one is done; complete irrelevance
