[Shielding: Brain] [Shielding: Clay] Wet clay packs glued to trapper hunting hat provide heavy duty shielding and warmth in winter and while sleeping.
Start with:
if your ear drums are being lasered or if you want to completely shield remote neural monitoring, the ears need to be shielded. The thick sheep shearling is very thick. Most likely it shields RNM. See post on thick wool shielding RNM. Shearling and wool do not attenuate lasers.
If you ear drums are being lasered or your ears are being stung by a laser, glue three clay packs on the ear flaps. Clay will also shield RNM.
Glue two round 4 1/2 clay packs on the inside of each ear flap after glueing the crown. Clay packs on the crown raise the helmet. If you glue the ear flaps first, the round clay packs will no longer cover the ear drums. Glue the third clay pack on the outside of each ear flap.
The Klondike hat consists of a nylon lining, polyester padding, leather with real rabbit fur trim. None of these materials shield RNM. Thick shearling does shield RNM. However, glueing clay on the top of the hat raises it. The back of the hat no longer covers the brainstem. This also applies to hats with shearling. Brainstem needs to be shielded to shield RNM. There is no room on the inside of the hat to glue a neck clay pack. Put on a neck clay pack first. Then put on the hat.
