I really dig the look of it, it's a nice looking CRT. Also looks like it has 700 TV lines of resolution which is quite nice!
I've been looking for a nice CRT locally for a while now, but particularly hard over the past few weeks. I've had no luck finding anything but the most bottom of the barrel consumer models, or extremely overpriced PVMs that don't even do RGB (and would take a long drive to acquire).
Today I gave my local peddler's mall another try, and just as I was about to leave I spied this thing, half-covered under a blanket. I knew that I had to have it.
It's not perfect; it doesn't do RGB, for one thing. However it is good enough for my needs. It even has S-video, which is nice.
I have an RCA-to-BNC adapter showing up tomorrow so that I can play my NES on it, for now it is SNES only. The image looks great, at least to my eyes. I'm also very please with how easy it was to carry.
Does anyone know anything about the LTC 2919/90 that would be good for me to know? It actually came with the manual, and I downloaded one as well and read through it. Seems pretty straight forward, there aren't a lot of options with it though.
Nice find. Looks great and I think it's the first of it's kind around here.
It is! And what beauty!
Looks interesting. Judging by the SNES and NES system models you have, I'm assuming you are in the U.S. or Canada ? I've never seen this kind of Phillips CRT before.
Yep, I'm in the U.S. Seems like its use was similar to the PVMs.
