Keep him alive. Feed him kills. Make him the most powerful Douche warchief. Then when the sequel comes, it will port over your most powerful nemesis. It will port over your Douche. The Douche will live on.

This is the most satisfying Orc Killing simulator I have ever played in my life. I simply don't get tired of fighting hordes of orcs. Even with all the powers, when multiple chiefs and captains show up, dying is always a possibility

I had one called Dushrat The Poet. Came back disfigured twice now and I killed him each time. He hasn't shown up in quite a bit now. Kinda sad about that.

if you didn't behead him, he'll be back. that's your nemesis. he'll keep going until you do or until the end of the game where he comes back with an army of controlled uruk warchiefs

I have a new guy I decided i want to mess with from now on, his name is Luga Meat Hooks. I used him to send a death threat and then found him again immediately and one-shotted him with an arrow. he came back with poisoned meat hooks but I scared him with an exploding bonfire and that's when I found out he runs FAST. like, damn. I ran out of arrows so I let him go, for now...

dangit, I was trying to use the spoiler tag, sorry ^^; and yeah, the weaker ones are always fun. my last game I had anemesis that was invulnerable to most everything....not pleasant

My current nemesis is vulnerable to explosions and combat finishers, but he's pretty pumped from being death threatened at a high level. I think he's around 24 now? Almost took him down last time i encountered him but he had a swarm of followers that ganged up on me

I remember when I played I scarred a guy with fire. Came back again and I fucked up his face hard on top of that, the next time he had a bag over his head and couldn't properly speak if I recall. Killed him again.
Three hours later, I'm fighting someone when suddenly my camera pans 300 feet away on top of a cliff. He's getting mauled to death by wild Caragors and that's how the fucker finally died.
Goddamn, I loved Shadow of Mordor.

lmao that's the best. I once let loose 2 caragors in a stronghold and the caragors went straight for 2 captains I didn't even know were there and I got 2 kills for it lmao

Picked this game up on Friday for $6.00CAD all DLC included for PC. No regrets. One of the best games I've played. I really like how personal it gets between the hero and the Uruk.
I just made Ratbag a Warchief and I gotta say, I kinda like the scrawny little bastard. It will be a sad day when/if I have to kill him.

I love how all these npc have distinct personalities, can't wait for new one hopefully they improve more on it.
Yeah, I'm replaying it for the first time since it came out and I forgot how much I really love the Nemesis System. It really makes dying personal.
When I finally killed the bastard who kept killing me by kicking him off a ledge I was ecstatic. Then an hour later he shows back up taunting me. "You think that fall would kill me?!"
I'm not sure what kind of healthcare is in Mordor, but I must've chopped that son of a bitch's head off three times and he kept coming back.
Good news! If he was your nemesis, Shadow of War will allow you to import that asshole into the game!

There was this Orc who was poison master or some thing and had no weaknesses whatsoever took me ages to finally kill him, after countless deaths and laughing from that fucker I finally killed him. Made me hate his guts but that's what I love about the game is the real distinct personality system. Easily my favourite system in a game the Nemesis one.
My nemesis is kind of a bitch and I wish I had a better one. He's a scrawny uruk that trys to kill me with an exploding crossbow. All he does is kill his own uruk and falls down on my sword every 30 minutes. I really hope I can kill him enough times to have him not come back next game.
atleast you had one, i never died the whole playthrough and when i got to the end it just named a rando as my nemesis
Eh, I just finished a play through this weekend, and the only captain who gave me trouble was part of a pre-scripted power event. He's the one who constantly calls followers and can only be damaged by combat executions. Eventually I gave up trying to be him "fairly" and just did the OP unlimited executions skill. >_> But he never became a nemesis because he wasn't in the normal army hierarchy.
This was the only reason I purchased the game after watching some reviews. I loved the Nemesis system. I really hope they elaborate on it in the sequel.
I feel like this is an untapped market/genre of games. A strategy unit control with RNG elements. If they could add orc settlements throughout the world that could be taken by different orc bosses and the settlement would reflect small changes based on who's on control. That would be sick too.
I hate daydreaming about the possibilities and then seeing a game fall so short because developers focus on all the wrong elements of the game.
A lot of the things you described are going to be in Shadow of War. They've actually streamed a good bit of content and it really looks incredible.
The new Nemesis system will apply to your friendly orcs as well, that should be extremely interesting.
I'd like to see it applied to beasts as well, if a caragor or something else ends up surviving a battle with you it should come back stronger and covered in war scars, wandering the wastes as a legendary beast
Yeah after that game came out I was half dreading half looking forward to the torrent of games that would beat that mechanic into the ground. Still yet to see one though.
I got it during the steam sale and just finished the campaign. During it I never really got to see the nemesis system become interesting. I remember one specific Uruk that I had to kill 3-4 times but he never was a problem.
The one that was my 'nemesis' was one I had never even seen before. Or if I had, I didn't remember him. It almost makes you feel sorry for the big bugger. He see's himself as the gravewalker's great opponent yet he isn't even on the radar.
Recently played it for the first time, I gotta say I love the combat system. Very fluid and actually works haha.
