oldark

Hi everyone, just got the game and hopped in a couple of hours ago. The old joystick I have works great but doesn't have a 'twist' axis that would (presumably) be used for rolling. I checked the controls in-game and it looks like roll controls default to my mouse. Lacking enough hands for keyboard, joystick, and mouse, is there a way to bind this so if (for example) I press Joystick Button 3 and move on the x-axis it will roll instead? Or attach it to q/e if I can't bind the joystick that way.

Thanks in advance!

Are pre-used maps a thing and if so where/how would I get them?

I play offline but would like to see a 'lived in' world. I'm happy to headcannon it as extinct tribes and it would be fun to see other people's huts, buildings, outposts, etc in my world and choose to either explore/ignore/raid them as the mood strikes me.

Edit: Though it's still a good question for the future, turns out its moot for the time being. ARK has apparently expanded since the last time I played and can no longer fit on a 175gb drive. No ark for me until I get a hardware upgrade :(

I just posted this on r/ftb but then saw this sub a solid 60 seconds later so here it goes again :)

Overall greatly enjoyed this pack! I spent about 25-30 hours on this pack (several of which were idle) and finished most of the quest lines. The pack in general is full of options that the player can use, there are at least 6 different ways to set up a quarry for example (some more clear and simple than others), a few ways to auto farm, and dozens of power options. Many of the simpler or better methods unlock further down the tech tree of course.

First thing I want to point out is the shop used in this pack. I loved this feature! Basic materials are available to purchase and the shop is br

- Had more questions but I found (or think I found) most of the answers while this sat here drafted and unposted :)

One of the destiny cards lets the player flip over any ally or destiny card. In what circumstance would an ally card be flipped? From my understanding of the rules they're gained face-up and when sacrificed are removed from the game entirely.

Radiants United nemesis quest card says "At the beginning of the game, each player must choose a radiant destiny." Does this overrule the "deal 2 and each player selects one" setup rule? Are the players just looking through the destiny deck and picking what they want, or are they dealt 2 as usual, choosing a radiant

Hey everyone. I've been out of the loop for probably 18 months or so. Started to get interested in the game again and saw that we've got a new edition out to play with.

It looks like only space marines has a codex for the new edition but I've seen battle reports using updated rules for other factions - where can I find these rules, strategems, and datasheets? The armies I have available to me to learn the game again are (roughly in order of favorite first) Dark Angels, Thousand Sons, Iron Warriors, Astra Militarum if that effects the availability of any of the updates that I'll need.

Edit: To tack on a further question. Where can I catch up on the lore changes that have

Has anyone else ran into issues with contracts (mission controller 2 + contract configurator) not recognizing location correctly?

At first I thought it was just the enhanced exploration contracts. They would recognize when orbit was achieved and I disabled them. A little while later I tried to begin the Tourism Plus line. It checks off that I have the passenger in my ship. I get an orbit of roughly 81/80 (contract requires 75k) and the green light next to 'orbit' in my contracts window still doesn't light up.

Just in case I set an alarm for a little over 4 hours and then landed/recovered but the contract never completed.

I'll be happy to post a full modlist if there's a reasonable way t

I couldn't see a downside to this but the rep that called me has been extremely pushy about it which makes me a little suspicious. Basically they offer a 'free refinancing' to customers that they acquire from other companies. They bought or mortgage from the previous company in Feb.

They are not re-extending my mortgage, so the number of payments will be the same as I'm currently making and they're lowering the interest by 0.5% (down to 3.25% fixed rate). They are covering most of the closing costs and rolling the little that they don't into the loan. It looks like my final monthly payments will end up being about $90 less than my current payments and they're also going to let me 'skip a

I was planning to do a triple overwrite but I can't find any official instructions on what is acceptable. The closest I found was this but it reads like that standard was dropped and doesn't mention a replacement. I'm fairly certain that this will be sufficient but I would like to have a reference to point to when questioned about it.

Edit: I think I found my answer in NIST SP 800-88.
