Common issues and their fixes
I've seen so many posts looking for help fixing some of the issues on this list, so here ya go.
Running list:
When I try to send a message with FB Messenger, it tells me to install the app on my phone.
That's a bug with the latest versions of Facebook's app. To fix it, delete the Messenger app from your phone and install a version released in early June from APKMirror. Edit: maybe fixed?
When I try to copy accounts to my watch, it repeatedly fails.
For some reason, switching to a data connection (rather than WiFi) will allow you to successfully copy your accounts.
Reminders on my phone are immediately being dismissed and I think it's because of my watch.
Indeed, this is a weird known issue with all AW2 watches: reminders made via Google Search or Assistant are immediately marked as done as soon as they are received by your watch. No fix yet (other than using another app like Wunderlist or Keep) but you can track the issue here. Update: looks like it's about to fixed with an update to the Google app. Update 2: The latest beta update to the Google app fixes the issue, try joining the beta program for the Google app on your phone's Play Store.
When I reply to a message with Android Messages on my watch, it says "You are offline".
That's a bug with the latest version of the Android Messages app, unfortunately. Until it's fixed, download the APK of an earlier version of the app from APKMirror on your phone. Replace the one in your phone with that after deleting your current Android Messages app and your issue should be fixed! Also be sure to go to the play store and uncheck auto update on Android Messages (thanks to u/sleriche for this one). Update: fix coming soon, will be an update to the Messages app on the watch as per this Google Forum post, thanks to u/bookworm326 for this tip. Update 2: Fixed with the latest version of the watch and phone apps, thanks to u/OnePunkArmy for this tip.
Pairing requests for my watch keep popping up on my phone, no matter what I do.
This has been happening to quite a few users lately, it seems that disabling the Play Store on your watch may fix the issue as per my post here and this post.
