The appeal of a Tomahawk steak

Ribeyes / Prime ribs are my favorite cut of steak but I just don't see the fascination of the Tomahawk other than strictly aesthetics? Am I missing something? Unless one gets it at a decent price, they are always super over priced at restaurants as a significant portion of the ounces in the serving size is the bone, which again is cool to look at but does little for my appetite.
