Can we relax, maybe just a little? I'm really tired of the sky-is-falling attitude around here. A deal didn't get done, and there's a good chance it wasn't even possible anyway.

I would love it if the mods would actually close the ~10 fucking threads of "DAELOLSKINS FUCK THIS TEAM" or open up a giant shitpost thread where people can circlejerk about how Bruce Allen burned their crops or whatever.
Training camp opens in a week. It's time to figure out which TC superstar is gonna make the roster and win ROY.

Some people just need something to lose their minds over. If Kirk had signed, they'd be miserable about how much we paid him. If we got a good deal on him, they'd be flipping out about Pryor being on a one year deal. This attitude is the reason we can't have nice things.

I am relaxed, but let's be real here. The skins FO would have signed Kurt Cousins by now if they wanted him. The sky isn't falling, it's just par for the course for our front office.

I like Kirk a lot but at the end of the day he is a B+ quarterback at best. I think a lot of our success these last couple years revolves around Jay Gruden and the system he has put in place and I think people are putting too much weight on the Kirk cousins situation. If he signs next year great, if not we save a very large chunk of money. They just extended Jay Grudens contract and that above all else gives me hope for these next few years because there is finally some continuity in what has been possibly the most inconsistent franchise in the NFL over the last twenty years. A lot is gonna happen before the 2018-2019 season comes around, no sense in fretting now. Keep it in perspective we are moving in the right direction.

LOL, if I had the God given talent to be out there I would, but I don't. Nobody is sabotaging a team though, but although I was joking as the topic of the new logo is a joke. I do feel Kirk Cousins is a hypocrite in that what he says is not backed up by action, especially because he's supposed be a person of faith. Not all his fault for sure, but can't say you want to be here and not have any discussion or counter offer. Also, if you love something/someone that doesn't mean you always have to agree with them, ask anyone who's been married and they will tell you that.

Except Kirk is still our QB, our defense looks to be much improved with J. Allen, Z. Brown, and others, and despite letting two 1,000' yrd receivers go our offense still looks solid.

It's after this year that looks like impending doom...
I mean we may have killed our chances with Kirk, but we're in a great salary cap situation next year. Keep in mind we have every key piece locked up through 2020 besides Kirk & Zach Brown & Pryor, all of which we could afford if they had solid years. Plus we have a first round pick and added a solid DL coach!
What we should be worried about is Bruce's power trip. He fired the GM because he did better than Bruce, seems to avoid signing Kirk as pettiness over the RG3 failure, etc. Can it get worse from here?

He'd have to be mentally ill or impared to do this for this reason. SM's alcoholism is as common as any knowledge in the league, IDK why some are having a hard time with that reason.

They didn't sign one contract worth over $25mil this year while slightly upgrading (hopefully) literally every hole we had with players 28yo or under. Huge coaching upgrades on defense. Kept Gruden. All very good things that make me think we're done with overpaying old players out of their prime.
But Kirk. Literally every move up to Monday was smart. But then we not only didn't sign him, but it turns out Bruce doesn't know his franchise QBs name and tried to blame Kirk for no LTD. Idk anymore

Really? Cause the cowboys have a great starting qb on a rookie contract scale. They are like the new Seahawks when russel Wilson was starting out. They can spread so much more money on talent and depth. Don't get me wrong. Fuck the cowboys. But don't think there isn't a huge advantage to having a starting qb only costing 600k vs 25 million
That advantage will last about another season and a half and then they will have to work on a huge extension with him too.
Its a nice advantage for a short time but how many rookies are capable of stepping in and playing at that level?
Kirk Cousins and Zach Brown are both on one year deals. People aren't fretting over this year - they're fretting over the long term.
