CbD Drug Test? [Specific Details Included]

I understand that this question has been asked before, and I have seen posts relating to the topic here:

www.reddit.com/r/IBM/comments/5gzw26/new_hire_drug_screen/ www.reddit.com/r/IBM/comments/62acna/any_formercurrent_cbders_out_there/

Due to the large presence of CbD’ers who have been frequenting this subreddit and conflicting answers in the past, I figured it would be an ok time to ask. My question is, has anyone who has been hired onto the CbD program been drug tested? Is there a pre-employment test? I have seen posts that say clients can request background and drug tests, but is it something that you or anyone you work with has been forced to go through or is it something that can be avoided?

Background:

I will be working in a very liberal city where Medical Marijuana is legal (at the local level), and I have my medical card. I am a recent graduate with my MBA and soon to be CbD’er starting in October.

I choose to use marijuana as opposed to taking the strong Benzodiazepines that I have been previously prescribed and dependent upon in the past. I am NEVER intoxicated or “high” at work, and it is something I only use during my free time to alleviate symptoms.

I take my work very seriously, and I am primarily asking to see if I should stop self medicating and get back on a legal prescription to control my symptoms and avoid the possibility of losing my job.

  • I understand the federal illegality of this and in no way, shape, or form am I trying to suggest that IBM needs to change their policy or justify what I am doing to anyone who may be against it. I understand the connotation that goes along with any form of drug use and why companies drug test. I am just looking to pick the brain of anyone who has been recently hired and/or gone through the CbD program*

tl;dr I am a MMJ patient and future cbd’er who is wondering if anyone hired recently has been drug tested
