Wrap has one sewn elastic strap. The strap is sewn in the middle of one side. Strap is 26 1/4" long x 3" high. Velco hook is 1 3/4" long x 3" high. The strap is long and there is not enough velco hook. After wrapping the strap around the abdomen, the velco hook does not attach to the beginning of the wrap on the back. The beginning of the wrap hangs down. This pulls the wrap down from the waist to the hips. Sew more velco hook on the strap.
Wrap comes with a gel pack that is 20" long x 6 1/2 inches high. The gel pack dimensions include a 3/8" seam around the gel pack, so it will side in and out of the sleeve easily. The sleeve is 20" long x 6" high. The sleeve opening is on the side. The opening is 5 3/4 inches high. The opening is slightly shorter than the gel pack.
Gel does not shield. I replaced the gel pack with an one gallon Blue Avocado bag.
Dimensions of Blue Avocado is 12 3/4" long x 11 3/8" high. I filled the bag 1/3 full with clay, water and oil. I folded the bag in half and pushed it into the sleeve. Since the length of the sleeve is 20 inches but the length of the bag is 12 3/4 inches, there is empty space in the sleeve. I inserted a second Blue Avocado bag but the end stuck out. Two 1 gallon bags were too heavy even for the extra velco hook I had sewn on the strap. The weight caused the wrap to fall down the waist. A medium size Blue Avocado bag might be OK as the second bag but I didn't have one to test.
While sitting or walking, the wrap remained on my waist with one 1 gallon Blue Avocado bag. Switching position in my sleep, the wrap fell down my waist to my hips. The wrap no longer covered my abdomen. If worn on my back, the wrap no longer covered my lumbar spine. Six inches high is too short.
I returned the wrap. The seam on the bottom and the seam on both sides of the Blue Avocado bag ripped open. More sabotage? I returned it.
I had hoped since the sleeve is 20 inches long that the sleeve would cover my abdomen and hip joint or back and hip joint. The hip joint is where the hip meets the leg. The sleeve does not. The hip is lower than the abdomen and back. The sleeve opening is only 5 3/4 inches high. Too short to cover the hip.
A large size Fomentek bag folded in half twice would fit inside the sleeve.
I tested the wearing the wrap on my hips instead of my abdomen. Even on my hips, the sleeve does not cover my hip joint.
