I loved this. This was my favorite episode this season and maybe even of this whole show. Everything about it was great, the way they visually depicted a dementia state of mind, how they turned the villain Beatrice into a sympathetic character, how they brought together small references from previous episodes. Amazing, it was simply amazing.

I think the visual representation of dementia was the most powerful part of this season. This was my favorite episode as well.

"it feels very real to me, even though it’s a cartoon about a horse."

I saw it for the second time last eve. The moment when they both give birth, as cliche as it is (because it has appeared in many similar ways in several shows and films) made me cry. Not for the scene itself (i'm rarely moved by any film or show) but because of all the background: dementia, unwanted pregnancies, infidelity, etc. The whole episode is powerful and sad. I know we say these things often in this subred, but it never stops to amaze me how incredible is to experience such emotions from a cartoon.

Awesome interview. As if it wasn't already clear from watching the episode, this interview really goes to show how much thought and feeling was put into this.
