Domain computers losing activation?
Many of our computers on our domain that share the same MAK are losing their activation. They've all been imaged using WDS/MDT with the key automatically entered. They all activate fine after imaging, but months after they have been deployed, we have to re-enter the activation key and it activated fine. We have to enter the key again becuase attempting to acivate fails citing the comptuer can't talk to the KMS server. There has never been a KMS server, nor have we used KMS keys.
So far we've had to reactivate about 20 desktops in the last few days. At this rate, we'll be spending most of our time reactivating workstations. I'd like to avoid that if I can.
Can anyone think of why this may be happening? I'm not sure where to start.
Win 7 pro MAK WDS/MDT image is not activate but has the key input doing one of the MDT steps. We activate after imaging manually.
Thanks!

From MS' website. Maybe something to look into?
Are there usage limits on MAKs? Yes. MAKs allow a predetermined number of activations. This number depends on the type of agreement you have. The number of activations can be revised (at the request of the customer or of Microsoft) to accommodate your regular usage. You can find the number of activations remaining on a MAK by going to the VLSC or by using the Volume Activation Management Tool (VAMT). If the existing activation limit on your MAK is inadequate for your deployment, contact the Microsoft Activation Center. Find the telephone number for your Microsoft Activation Center.
