I thought the duct tape bit was funny.

Also, I am still really enjoying the dynamic between Max and Leroy. I think the other characters need some development.

I like it. Wish this sub had more people.

I'm really enjoying it too. I think as the season goes on the subreddit will become more popular. Just gotta give it a little time.

I can see how people say the show feels off but personally I'm enjoying it. I can watch anything with Adam Scott and Craig Robinson and the weapons expert character is pretty likable too.

For the first few episodes of a show I think the characters are way more important than the story. Once everything gets fleshed out I think there is potential for some great plot lines with these characters.

I watched and liked it. The half format keeps things fast paced which is a change for hour long shows. I'll be a viewer of future episodes.

Why was the first post about this episode removed? Is this one of those subs where actual discussion is a waste of time?

Honestly if this show is a comedy it failed. Once it's moved from Sunday the countdown to cancelled will begin. Next episode: stupid smart guy fails to come across as a real person, while too cool for school ex-cop fails to come across as a real person, even though they use the same exact lines that good actors made work on a successful show.

If this sub is just an echo chamber for people who just want to hear like minded comments of adulation let me know and I'll leave you to your discussion.

The first post was removed because we wanted to make the subreddit look more professional and easier to access to members. There is no reason for having two discussion posts as it will create confusion. And the Episode Discussion posts should be formatted the same way each week to keep it organized so people don't have any trouble accessing it. I really do apologize to users who submitted discussion there. It was our fault for not posting on time.

It does look better, in fact the sub looks very polished and better than most.

It fails for me on pretty much every level and you hit the nail on the head when it comes to not feeling "real". They are just spitting out the lines.

I really wanted to like this show. I am still holding out hope that they can turn it around.

Why do I have a feeling they are setting up that one lady agent to be a love interest for either Max or Leroy? (Im assuming that Max's wife will be revealed to be too far gone to be saved)

It really bothered me that they ended the episode with him finally finding his wife and then episode 2 they don’t go back to it at all. Idk bit it annoyed me lol

Here's my theory. You know how in the first episode Max says that she left after a fight, and Leroy was saying that she just left him? I think that Max is going to get a thing going with Annie only for his wife to come back in the picture. Once the triangle develops I think that Max is going to get some character development and accept that they were going to be split after that original fight regardless of the abduction, and with that closure he's gonna get together with Annie

Sorry for this one being late. Discuss away!

I don't think the second episode was helped at all with Leroy and Max essentially having next to nothing to do with the Bureau Underground. Feels almost like they were trying to minimise the use of the BU sets because of the SFX they had to use elsewhere?

I was more or less expecting Brooklyn Nine Nine crossed over with Ghostbusters/X Files. More interaction between the BU staff and less family dramas.

I must be weird, but I love this show. The fast pacing is different, but I think it feels fresh. I rarely literally laugh out loud at most shows, but this one gets me constantly. I can't wait to see more!

Power of Love to start the show! Don't think I've ever heard that song in a show or movie outside of Back to the Future. Definitely loving the soundtrack on this show.
