Hey, I’m a 24m who recently moved to NYC. As a kid I played a bunch of roller hockey with my family but never in an organized setting.

I haven’t played in a long time and haven’t skated much on ice. Are there any recommendations for where/how to learn to skate and play enough to be comfortable in a beginners league?

I’m open to both roller and ice but I guess with the time of year it looks like a lot of the roller options are out for the season.

Thanks for any help!

Hey so I flew from Rome to Toronto on Dec 1st with a layover in Frankfurt. Upon arriving in Canada I was able to get one of my two checked bags. I have an AirTag in the missing bag and was able to see that it had arrived in Toronto but it did not come out on the baggage carousel.

I had to leave the airport before being able to talk to anyone because the line was extremely long and there was only one person and I was on a time crunch. I did submit a missing bag form online.

However, at the baggage carousel I saw another bag that had just been circling which was the exact same bag as mine so I had a hunch that it was taken by them. I took a picture of the baggage label of the other bag.

I was idling in a parking lot for about 10 minutes when I heard a pop from the engine then white smoke came billowing out of the hood.

I turned the engine off immediately and let it sit for about 20 minutes until it cooled down (pretty cold day in Ontario) and stopped smoking. It started up like normal but the coolant light had turned on. I drove it 5 minutes home while keeping an eye on the temp gauge, which sat square in the middle the whole time.

The car had basically been sitting for the past four months but I had started driving it regularly 3 days ago after replacing the battery.

Any advice on what might’ve happened and what I should do/ look for?

Hey, so I'm on coop right now and will be returning to school in the Spring. I ended up applying for the Spring Extension Form late and the SAFA website says they're currently reviewing applications from March 24 (I applied on March 29). I know the promissory note is due on April 26, but in an email from SAFA they said late fees are not applied until June 1. Does that mean I can wait until after April 26 to arrange my fees, or will I have to pay out of pocket then just wait for OSAP after? Thanks.

Hey, all. I'm an architecture student who recently moved to Toronto and am looking for a public workshop space where I would be able to learn some woodworking. At the moment I just want to make a basic crate to store vinyl records but I have no space to do it while living in an apartment. I have a feeling I'm out of luck because of COVID restrictions but wanted to ask anyways.
