Phillips 42PFL5603D/12 white display

Hello everyone,

I had some trouble lately with an LCD screen (here).

I have several questions :

A/ I've read that it's probably the TCON board's fault, is it plausible ?

B/ In the affirmative, can I fix it myself ? Where should I start to look ?

C/ I found a TCON spare part. By cross checking the reference (6870C-4200C / 6871L-4201B), I've found another cheaper spare part for LG screen, do different manufacturers use the same board ? (EDIT : found that LG Display and Philips made a joint venture together in South Korea, so it makes sense)
