6 postseason series in 3 years. We're 6-1, and we've eliminated 6 different franchises, all excellent teams, from World Series contention (1/5 of all MLB teams). It's good to be a Cubs fan right now.

By besting the Nats in a series I think that we earn eliminating all the NL East teams they eliminated by extension of the transitive property.
We should steal the r/cfb imperialism map concept and use it for playoff series wins.
When the Cubs win one game in a series, Cubs go on to win the series

Looking forward to adding the Astros or Yankees to the list
Astros would be neat, then Houston would have lost a World Series to both Chicago teams in a 12 year span.
Good point but then we'd have to play on their stupid hill
Pretty sure they removed that
This creative freedom is much welcomed in baseball, a sport that often seems anything but imaginative. The defenses, excluding shifts, always align in nearly identical formation with fielders rarely straying from their small radius of territory. Offensive players are only allowed to travel in a strict square path. Barring the rare hidden ball play, baseball doesn't really any unique defensive schemes or creative plays to draw up.
Does this writer even watch baseball?
It’s gone but think about all the Bryant and Willson homers to the short porch in left!
That's gone.
We did for several years before...
Astros would be nice just to beat up an old NL central rival.
Elite company and we've beaten them all
