Up 18-0 over the Pirates in a game where their starting pitcher threw 4 pitches

We have 9 strands of icicle lights we took down last year and disconnected them and placed them in a rubbermaid tote. We took them out today and all 9 strands are not working.

We have stored them this way before in years past and sometimes a strand wouldn't work or a third of a strand wouldn't work so we had to replace a few bulbs, but most of them worked out of storage. Not this year - 0 lights are working.

I took a fuse out and it looks fine. The bulbs look fine and aren't broken. I tried plugging in some other electronics to the outlets I was using to test lights and they worked fine.

Is there something I'm not thinking of to try or a reason ALL the lights wont work?

6 postseason series in 3 years. We're 6-1, and we've eliminated 6 different franchises, all excellent teams, from World Series contention (1/5 of all MLB teams). It's good to be a Cubs fan right now.

Born in the Quad Cities, I moved to Cedar Rapids 3 years ago for work, not knowing much about the city, and I was never really a big part of the community. I kind of keep to myself. When the crest prediction was raised from 24 to 25.3, suddenly I found my house in serious danger. My family came up the help sandbag my house today, and we were at a couple different sites and spent hours working to protect my house.

I have met more selfless, amazing people today alone than I have met in my entire life. I met people in no danger from the flood helping fill sandbags. I met people that showed up to the sandbag sites with empty trucks only to help others who needed it. I met people who pos

I'm an Iowa fan and resident, and we have no pro teams. I was ecstatic that the Magic drafted Devyn Marble out of Iowa, and he even got some decent PT last year. This year, they decided to keep him, but he has only played 7 minutes.
How does he fit into the Magic's future plans?
Do you expect him to see a little more action than he has so far?

Devyn isn't the next MJ or anything, but he was a hell of a player for Iowa, and its awesome to see him sticking around a little in the NBA. Hopefully he turns into a productive player for you guys.

On July 28, the Cubs were 52-47. They were 11.5 behind St. Louis, and 6 games behind Pittsburgh. They were 2.5 games behind the Giants for the 2nd wild card spot.

Today, August 15th, we are 67-48 (winning 15 of 16). Since July 28th: We gained 4 games on St. Louis (now 7.5 back). We gained 4.5 games on Pittsburgh (now 1.5 back). We gained 7.5 games on San Francisco (now 5.0 games ahead).

Since July 28th the Cubs, Cardinals, and Pirates are a combined 36-11.

This division is insane.
