Strongly suggest everyone who's struggling with acne and topicals dont work, jump on accutane asap, before its too late. Acne ruined my life forever. I wish i didnt give a shit and started accutane when i was 18. You only have your youth once.

Wish It's that easy. The side effects alone are scary 😣

There's nothing scarier than lost life, if i could go back in time and to be 18 yo, i'd take accutane in heart beat.

My social life was totally ruined because of acne and my disability to cure it, while on other hand, bunch of guys i've seen around jumped on it and got ridden of it forever. Living happy life.

I highly discourage the use of Accutane. It made my skin worse before it got marginally better and never went away. It made me depressed and suicidal. It’s not worth the mental health risks and doesn’t work for everybody. It’s a huge gamble.

Don’t discourage Accutane because you had a bad experience. Plus, it’s not like you weren’t warned about the depression side effects.

A counter argument is always necessary and important. Accutane doesn’t work for everyone. There is no magic cure. People need to know that.

And no. I was 13. I was a child and the adults in my life took advantage of me to meet their own agendas. I wish that back then there was a forum like this where someone could have warned me.

ya i wish i had started sooner... but my doctor had me trying several creams before he put me on accutane... resulting in many scares that could have been prevented... Accutane worked tho

16-17ish im guessing. I had acne come back in some spots for about 2 years after accutane but not nearly as bad as it was prior to accutane. Since then iv had almost no acne come back i occasionally get a pimple but its barely noticeable. All that remains is the scarring.

I'm starting month two of lymecycline and I'm nearly 27, boy I wish I hadve went to the Dr long before now, but it was only through reddit I even know antibiotics for acne existed. Remember tho that for some ppl, myself included, their acne can only start or only start to get worse when they're older. My acne was pretty mild but consistent up until about 3 yrs ago then it turned cystic
