How's the paper quality? Seems almost a rule that the more ornate the cover, the lower the quality of the paper 😭

Feels toothier than the super smooth papers, maybe a similar surface to the Midori Traveler? It's 100gsm light ivory paper though, it's fairly substantial.

I'll get some pens out and run it through its paces later. With the tooth there, pencils will probably feel nice on it.

But the opposite ain't true either. Example: Moleskine 😁

Ok, here you go

There's a little left-handed smudging on the Lamy and Retro 51 rollerball ink, but that's normal. 2nd page, I dumped both acrylic paint and india ink on there, it ghosts but doesn't really bleed.

It seems like great paper, really.

Edit: oh yeah, both the acrylic and the india ink need to be thinned more before they flow right, so forgive the chicken scratching.

I was at the art supply store earlier, and these Alibabette notebooks caught my eye. It's a softcover A6, and all the little details are perfect. The cover is a collage of Japanese prints, the endpapers are gorgeous, and each page has the shooting star logo on the top and is numbered. It wasn't cheap - $10 for 100 numbered pages A6, but yum!
